I wish we could save Oswalt for the Cubs series rather than him go up against a guy with a 1-12 record. But then again a win is a win.:)

    Each win is equal.

I think we win them both.

if the cards keep losing to teams like the Padres it's not going to matter who Oswalt pitches against. I'm ready for a blowout... normally Oswalt gets great run support.

Agreed. At this point, it looks like it'll be Redding, Villone, then Robertson against the Cubs this weekend.

This way, we save our two big guns for the Braves.

Actually, it will be Miller, Redding, and Robertson for the Cubs.

Then its Oswalt, Villone and Miller for the Braves. Thus, we have one big gun in the Cubs, and both of them for the Braves...including tough-as-balls Villone.

That's about as good as it gets (who said Jimy can't do anything right?)

I hope y'all are referring to Robertson when you say "one big gun" in the Cubs series.

Is there somewhere to look at upcoming pitching rotations? I was just speculating based on previous rotations. That's a good matchup against the Cubs. Robertson v possibly Prior should be good. Although Robertson has been on a long streak that will end soon.

The Braves rotation looks very good as well. Villone has been very good for us this year, but I think he'd be better in relief.

    touche...

Sunday will be the true test for Robertson. All of the Cubs good hitters are right-handed, and they've faced him before (not that it really matters against Jeriome...he's fared just as well the second time around).

If and when we trade for a SP, other clubs should recognize our record for young pitching talent.

Ramirez and Lofton went 1-8 against him last night if that helps. :)

You could always goto the Astros schedule page at ESPN, or in this case, just follow the rotation (it doesn't change).

There's no word on Prior for Sunday's game yet... but, if the shoulder is healed, and this is just a "precaution", I don't see why the Cubs wouldn't put him out there, unless there's something seriously wrong.

I guess I have to pay more attn, I've never noticed the same pitching rotation for more than a couple series.

You're probably right about that... with all the injuries, the Astros haven't had a "Starting 5" much of the season.

Jimy did shuffle the rotation a bit at the All-Star Break, so it does look a little different compared to previous weeks.

Rusch is terrible. 1-12 with a 7.99 ERA and 11 consecutive losses! Was it last year that we were rumoring that we might trade for him. Thank god we didn't do that trade!

Man it hurts to watch Lance bat right-handed... I'd actually be curious to see this guy take BP right-handed; I wonder if he gets it out of the infield.

Astros tied 1-1 with the brew crew.
