With the injured list of arms hopefully emptying, Gusto’s role was less clear… but great Astros development story to take an unheralded arm and turn it into a valuable roster piece. Sanchez has an OPS above 800 vs righties. He’s terrible against lefties.
I like Gusto a lot, and I wouldn't be surprised if he turns into an effective SP, but we can develop pitchers for the future and we need bats now.
I appreciate what Gusto did for the team. He really came in and gave us quality pitching. We needed to shore up the line up though and Sanchez helps.
Absolute Perfect Fit Crushes RHP, awful vs LHP As bad as Chas has been this year he has a .814 OPS vs LHP which makes for a great platoon
Like it. Gusto was good yesterday but he's replaceable. Decent LH bat and decent defensive OF who can play all 3 spots.
1. Love trade deadline day, where 8 people post the same thing like 15 minutes apart. 2. This is a bit of a sting, but it's a kid who has performed passably during his time in the system. He was probably gonna be blocked once he reached the upper levels. Good luck, Chase Jaworsky.
