Just an exercise, but what number pick in the 2022 Draft would you need in a trade for these players:

    Kevin Porter Jr.
    Christian Wood
    Jae'Sean Tate
    Eric Gordon
    Alperen Sengun
    KJ Martin
    Garrison Mathews

Example: Alperen Sengun, 5th pick or higher

You may not want to trade any of these players. I'm just curious what it would take for you to part with them.

    EG

    Mid-round 1st

Others, do not touch as they are part of future core.

What I think their market values are

    KPJ - Early 2nd

    Wood - Late 1st

    Tate - Early 2nd

    Gordon - Early 2nd

    Sengun - Late lotto

    Martin - Late 1st

    Mathews - Early 2nd

I'd sell on Wood, EG, KPJ, and maybe Tate depending on who we draft with our top pick.

Kevin Porter Jr. literally any pick would be worth more than him.
    Christian Wood top 25
    Jae'Sean Tate top 35-40
    Eric Gordon top 25
    Alperen Sengun top 5-10
    KJ Martin first round
    Garrison Mathews top 35-40

I don't think KJ Martin will ever be an impact player so little value to us, but with some growth he could be an extremely valuable role player on a contender. Therefore I wouldn't trade him unless we're getting value on his potential growth.

Mathews and Tate likewise could be valuable role players, so I would at least want a high 2nd rounder to give them away. Don't think either guy has as high a role player ceiling as Martin. Fans around here place too much value on guys putting ups stats on an awful team, but i want at least something better than a garbo late 2nd that almost never turns into an actual NBA player.

Sengun is the only player who I think actually has potential to be a major part of our future, so I want big return if I'm moving him, and I would only do so if I had a clear target in mind.

Would prefer high value for Wood or Gordon, but only contenders will want them so you can't be too picky.

Insane how low you guys value Wood. 10-14 pick minimum. Two future firsts if lotto protected.

We'll get laughed out of the room if we even ask for that. We'll be lucky if we get a late 1st for him.

Dude doesn't play D, jacks 3s instead of banging in the paint, and is weak at defending the paint.

    “Jacks 3s”? He’s shooting 45% from 3 on 5 attempts a game in the last 35 games. He’s “jacking 3s” like he’s Steph Curry.

agree with this but I wouldn’t trade Sengun for anything later than the 4th or 5th pick in this draft.

I wouldn’t trade KJ Martin for a late 1st; I think he can be a starter at the 3 for us next year.

time to trade EG, KPJ and Wood for what we can get. Trade the 2022 Brooklyn pick too. We are not gonna get another pick in the top 5 so we should be looking to trade for young players with star potential or future picks with limited protection

Wait. You think kj Martin is worth more than Wood? I feel like I’m in the twilight zone here…

Kevin Porter Jr. - idk, I might be over him. Willing to admit that this isn’t the right situation for him at this point. Anything.
    Christian Wood - Anything.
Jae'Sean Tate - Only valuable to contending teams in a trade imo
Eric Gordon - 1st or the 31st/32nd pick maybe
Alperen Sengun - KEEP or use in trade for a big fish (Zion/Mitchell)
KJ Martin - KEEP. I don’t understand why people are so low on him. We have Kenyon Martin’s son with a ton of natural ability, give him time. He could be a total stud with enough growth.
    Garrison Mathews - Anything

I would not want to trade KJ or Alpi at all.

The rest of them really depends on the players that would be available with that pick.
I keep hearing this draft is not deep at all and I wonder why we would give up a guy like Tate for an early second rounder when you'd have to be pretty lucky to find a player with the same production at that spot.

I'd trade Wood for a lotto pick, EG for a first rounder and salary dump and KPJ depending on the market value (tough to judge)

I would only trade the rest of them if the offer is way too good to decline (like a top 8 lotto pick)

Give the bust rate of anyone selected in the draft, it's crazy to think KPJ is worth a 2nd round pick. He's definitely a late first and wood is definitely around 15 at least. Reality is I don't think those guys get traded for picks...more likely they get traded for a ok player plus a 2nd rounder.

Unfortunately any pick we get doesnt matter as long as Silas is coach.

Your question is asking what would we trade for these players, not what do you think the Rockets can get for them.

I would trade Wood for a McDonalds Fry found under someone's car seat thats clearly been there for years however I think we can get a first round pick offer from a team that is in playoffs. So that unprotected first translate to roughly 20th pick at best.

Yeah idk, KPJs clutch fans stock is low at the moment but are we sure Ochai Agbaji is better, he's older.
