This might've been lost in the shuffle, but Chronicle writer Jonathan Feigen is answering questions sent to him. He posts his answers here. You can email him your questions at askjonathan@chron.com I sent him the question on the #15 pick for kicks to see if he would answer it, and he did (see the above link). The Chronicle has a whole Yao Central section too, with all their stuff on Yao in a concentrated area. On an aside note on Nachbar, everything I've seen (not much) I've liked. Fox showed parts of his workout, and he has one of the best looking strokes I've seen. CD said he plays aggressively around the basket, almost as if he's a center (not quite sure I understood that). I also saw some assorted clips on ESPNEWS-one had him take the ball the length of the court, and cross a guy over for an impressive dunk, then he completely got a guy on his heels at the 3 point line, and buried a 3.
Thanks Nike. Here is my question. Could we get Lamar Odom without giving up our big four?(Francis, Mobley, Griffin and Ming)
All the Steve haters who have begged for Francis to be traded for the #2 should read what Feigen says. Q. Why not trade Stevie "Headache" Francis to the Bulls for their first round pick and the Rockets get Yao Ming and that point guard from Duke (Jay Williams)? Ray June 23, 2002 A. Easy question. Steve Francis is a better player than Jay Williams. Bigger, quicker, better scorer, more experienced. Your trade would give you a better draft, but a worse team. Steve's headaches seem to be under control now. They are not a reason to start over at the position. Jonathan
