It's great to see someone get that they deserve. It was pretty bad. I also posted in the USC thread, but it seems more appropriate in this one: Ashlee Simpson needs to go away, period. That was the first time I'd ever seen her sing. The saaaaad part is the first two versus and choruses were lip-synked once again. THEN, during the brdge, she goes into improv Ashlee with lots of uhh. uhh. and crap. Then she has the audacity to sing the final chorus on her own... live. Her voice was so obviously bad when she was trying to sing it was pathetic. This girl just needs to go away, period.
She can't sing. But that's not all. She ha no presence up there. She can't dance either. I found her grunting and undulating more disturbing than sexy. I'm amazed she had enough clout to even get the gig. Whose bright idea was it to put her in front of 70,000 diehard college football fans? It's been a long time since I laughed so hard.
She is just GOD AWFUL. Why can't she just stop? Give up. Seriously. She had a "backing track" again last night but this time she was "singing" along with it. Everytime they got to the part where the band dropped out for 4 beats and she yelled "you make me wanna", she kept getting ahead and thus getting ahead of her "backing track" so it sounded like there were 2 Ashley's singing. One in tune and in time (thanks to Pro Tools) and one BADLY out of tune and ahead of the beat. She's already been embarrassed on national TV twice now. She really needs to just stop. Quit. Why can't she just stop? Please.
She is absolutely horrible and desparately needs to quit the music biz and go into p*rn. She had some real Billy Squire moves going there.
That was so pathetic that I was embarrassed for her and I felt sorry for her. I felt sorry for her and the guy that fumbled that punt. At least she's getting paid. The guy that fumbled that punt has to live with that for the rest of his life and he doesn't even get paid. KeepKenny was right, why would they bring her in for the halftime show? Anything would have been better than that. Even if she could sing, it was so cheesy and non-sexy. She reminded me of the little dog that goes around and humps everything from stuffed animals to peoples legs. You just try not to look at it, but you can't help but to think that it's funny.
I had sympathy for her going in, but damn, she was terrible out there with the grunting noises. Nick and Jessica were in attendence too.
Yeah, it was really bad. Seriously, why did she get selected to perform? Did they honestly think that people would want to see her perform because she is so entertaining, or was it more of just a novelty to get her on there?
IMO they should stop with the halftime Production numbers, at least in College sports. The majority of them are not entertaining and I would rather see the schools marching bands belt out a few tunes. If I`m not mistaken, Ashlee was invited after someone else bailed out........I can only hope her 15 minutes are up
all you guys wonder why she keeps on doing it and doesn't realize she sucks and just stop...would you stop if you made all that money? No publicity is bad publicity. You feel "sorry" for people like her and william hung? I bet they don't feel sorry for themselves. You say they have to live with this indignity for the rest of their lives. Seriously, 10 years from now I probably won't even remember who they are.
Maybe she should audition for "American Idol". Simon will shoot her down like a duck at a duck shoot. Then, maybe she can give all that money she made based on her "talent" back. Or, give it to Tsunami relief.
I can't see why ABC had to settle for Kelly Clarkson, who was manufactured by Fox. There has to be some legit acts out there that would like to have performed on national televison.
Dude, did anybody see Simpson's backup dancers? They were people dressed in all black football uniforms (helmets, pads, etc) prancing around behind her.. it was HILARIOUS
the problem is that most pop singers probably lip sync and no one wants to become the next ashlee simpson
She's a very attractive women and I'd hit it in a heartbeat...Having said that, you got to feel sorry for her...or at least I do...
