At the Station, 1502 Alabama at La Branch Dick Wray, Recent Paintings, opens November 22nd, 8 - 10 pm. I've known Dick for about 10 years and was even his assistant for a while. I worked for free just to shoot the **** and learn some life lessons with someone who knows alot and has seen alot. He'll have around 80 paintings all from 2003! Dick is 72yrs young and outpaints anyone I've ever known young or old. He puts these young hyped B.S.artists to shame. I'll be in town from S.A. just for his show next Saturday. *I think he said all the beer and BBQ you can ingest too, so theres another reason to be there! http://www.artcarmuseum.com/news.html http://www.artcarmuseum.com/wray.html
Abstract and epidemic, these paintings suggest the black wings of true worry beating the air above a busy world, modern in technology, post-modern in its slang, but not dissimilar to the world of Brueghels and Rabelais. "Thomas Carlyle..." "Tommy C!" -- George Costanza
