When I first saw the thread title, I thought that it said:

"Artest takes a different drug every other day..."

    LOL.

It's very similar to Xanax, but has a more sustained effect due to the fact that it's metabolized slower in the body. Xanax is intended to provide instantaneous relief from severe anxiety and panic attacks, which is why you feel "high" shortly after popping the pill.

I don't understand how being under the influence of Klonopin caused him to draw such a half-ass picture. It's very popular on the streets (referred to as "Klowns")... I didn't think the drug would seriously hinder his ability to draw, unless he took a very high dosage. He failed by not specifying the dosage.

The interesting study would have been to test his artistic abilities after taking various doses of drugs, most notably mushrooms and acid.

Sadly enough in the art world now a day, real talent is over overshadowed for people who are "homeless" artists or were ****ing addicted to Heroin for a while or some other gimick that doesnt include how good their work actually is.

But some of these are pretty cool so i cant hate to much

As the son of an artist who lived a sane, responsible, fairly drug-free life (not counting alcohol), I get a bit annoyed by gimmicky artists. You don't need to abuse your body, be insane, be a megalomaniac, or be a jerk to make good art. But, it does seem you might to be famous in the art world, if that's what you want.

The experiment could have been interesting, but I'm not impressed with his composition and there's not a lot of depth of meaning for me to work with as a viewer. It seems egocentric to do the experiment with self-portraits.

You would have given him an A if he would've included a category including a 'drunk until seizure' picture.
