Rockets targets are also TL fits: Ja Morant Devin Booker Zion Williamson https://bleacherreport.com/articles/25158953-imagining-every-nba-teams-top-3-offseason-trade-targets "Williamson wouldn't necessarily solve Houston's issues, but adding one of the potentially-dominant athletes in the NBA could work out for the Rockets. That being said, the trade package would be massive, and it may not be worth it for the Rockets in the long run." https://www.si.com/nba/rockets/news/nba-trade-rumors-pelicans-zion-williamson-houston-rockets
Massive like Zion’s body fat ratio or massive like the several years long disappointment Pelicans fans have felt?
Boogie Cousins also weighs in: “You got guys like Ja Morant, who’s whose name is floating around on a trade,” suggested Cousins. “You add a guy like that, and possibly a Devin Booker, this is a totally different team, and next season, we’re talking about the Rockets being contenders.” https://nbaanalysis.net/boogie-cous...-rockets-to-trade-for-totally-different-team/
I would want Ja, even though his injury risk potential scares. Seems like he has gotten over his immaturity issues and guns at least. A line up with Ja and Amen would be electric. I imagine that Jalen would have to be the sacrificial lamb in a trade for Ja.
Jalen is a better defender + 3P shooter than Ja. In fact, Ja has the lowest 3P% of the three: Ja, Booker, Zion
JA nor Amen are SGs - it would be FVV CAM REED - to bring in JA … would it be fun at times yes - I don’t see Zion and Alpi working together in a already crowded paint My default is always Trae Young - or Durant and move Bari to the bench and keep FVV
it would take picks and 3rd team etc etc but you don’t trade JG for JA and have no shooting guard - figured that part was common knowledge
Pass… Morant’s game is going to age historically bad. He hasn’t been the same player since the suspension either. Booker is good but not worth the cost…. And Zion doesn’t take care of himself and doesn’t like basketball.
The problem with Ja is he is the same model as John Wall, Allen Iverson, Stephon Marbury, Steve Francis, D Rose etc Those guys fall off really quickly and seemingly without warning.
No doubt. Loved Ja in his draft. Ja-Zion-Booker are all neck + neck in my mind with only Giannis as better trade option. Just uncertain how a Ja + Jalen backcourt would look. As I'm not ready to even think of trading Jalen right now. Especially with Amen developing into the lead guard we all hoped he'd be.
Zion lost some weight. Even mix of some of good recent games (under 30min), despite Pels' bad record. Probably still a no, due that large contract. His value went up slightly. Am keeping an eye...
Zion only gives a shet for cities like NY or LA......he said it himself. Add Malcolm Brogdon - not a star but a decent get.
