Everyone is talking about small forwards that can shoot the three, and who can pass. What we really need is a hard nose defender who can do the dirty work. No one ever talks about Artest but he could really help the Rockets. 15th and Kenny might be enough to grab him. Imagine this lineup .....Defense!!!

    C.Ming
    PF. Griffing
    SF. Artest
    SG. Mobley
    PG. Francis

We're trying to turn Tmo into that type of player. He's allready shown flashes and I think if he keeps working hard, he'll be at least as good of a defender as Artest.

Has there been rumor of the Pacers looking to trade Artest?

I'm just wondering because I'm trying to think of trades to acquire Artest, but I might be wasting my time. After all, he was probably the biggest reason they traded Jalen Rose, and he was getting a lot of minutes for the Pacers in the playoffs. The only thing is that I believe the Pacers think Jonathan Bender is the real deal and they expect him to be quite a player, which would make Artest a lot more expendable. What does anyone think? In my opinion Artest would be a great fit for the Rockets and would not cost an arm and a leg.

What about Kenny, Tierre, 15, 38 for Artest? I've never posted a trade before, but am really curious about Artest.

Tierre is a free agent and I really don't see why the Pacers would trade a good defensive player that they like.
