Well, the offseason has become even more interesting.

I'm thinking of how the Rockets could pull off getting him, but I'm not sure that the Rockets' organization would even want to. I hope that is not the case though.

..... So, this is Peter Vecsey. Well, that takes off a large amount of credibility to this rumor.

throw him the full MLE i say even if it means not being able to resign landry.

we get artest i say F-it and play a big lineup

    tmac-pg
    artest-sg
    battier-sf
    scola-pf
    yao-c

    bench:
    rafer
    francis
    #25
    hayes
    deke
    novak!
    luther
use bjax's expiring to get a semi-decent bench big guy

but i dont know why he would come here as long as he doesnt go to those other teams mentioned. I can see him going back to NY though. Hopefully Adelman does make a phone call though.

Artest ain't going no where on the MLE.

He's gonna do a S&T if he's going anywhere. Otherwise, he re-signs with Kings.

His agent must have gauged the interest in a S&T for him and also have some idea as to what other teams will part with and Kings will take back in such a scenario. His agent would most likely also know if the Kings are willing to retain or S&T him.

I want him on the Lakers. I think he will blow that team up and they will be fun to follow next season. He is more of a looney tune than most people realize and the Lakers will tire of him during the season. Artest will be the kiss of death to whoever signs him.

    Like Rodman in San Antonio.

I don't see that. I think he will be like Rodman in Chicago and Detroit when Rodman was surrounded by superstars who kept him in line. DRob couldn't do it. He just wasn't strong enough to control Rodman. Jordan, Pippen, Isaiah, Dumars, and Big Bill could handle Rodman's antics and control him. And look what they got out of him.

When I look at the Lakers with Phil and Kobe, I see MJ and Kobe part II. Kobe ain't gonna let Artest pull a bunch of stunts on that team just like MJ wouldn't let Rodman do it in Chicago. I think Artest to the Lakers means a title for LA. I hate it.

Kobe can't keep Artest in check. Kobe and Ron will be like oil and water. You think Artest is going to put up with Kobe's screaming and whining?

The Zen Master could have helped keep Artest in check 10 years ago but he has obviously lost his mojo judging by the way his team played in the Finals.

    It won't work in LA.

LMAO at Kobe keeping Artest, or anyone, in check. No one respects Kobe (as far as him keeping someone in line). I can see Ron going to LA and them winning, but it will be because he decides to behave on his own (quite possible).

Agreed. Kobe is no MJ. He doesn't have that force of personality to get his teammates to follow. And besides Kobe, who has leadership on that team? Gasol? Odom? The only guy I can think of is Fisher. But Fisher is not the vocal kind of guy.

...who said that 'sources said'. Perhaps not the definitive word, eh?

BTW - can anyone actually imagine the Kings dealing with the Lakes?
