Artest:5-15 13REB 1AST 2STL 2BLK 3TO 14pts Tmac: 5-15 1REB 1AST 1STL 1BLK 2TO 16pts Both struggled on offense. Artest had great defense. Where was T-Mac's defense while Terry scored 31 PTS ? T-Mac lovers, stop bashing Artest!!!
Did you watch the game tonight? I bet you were hangin out with your friends and just back home to check out the stats
ill give credit to tmac for playing well late in the fourth. 2 post up jump shots and a 3. artest was missing point blank lay ups then.
You guys do realize that posting to the BBS is completely optional, right? You are not forced by the law to start a thread about any inane thing that pops into your head.
Artest is turning out to be our worst free throw shooter besides Chuck. Sorry, a 100% T-Mac is better than a 100% Artest.
um, tmac didn't guard terry (so i'm sure you jsut checked the box score and didn't watch the game). ron hustled so you really can't fault the guy. but he missed 3 straight point blank layups, and missed 3 straight fts in a 6 pt game where it could have turned the game. tracy played pretty well after the first quarter. he didn't force any shots at all tonight. the thing i have with ron is he is a HORRIBLE FINISHER around the rim. i think chuck hayes finishes around the rim better than he does. i think what we need to do with ron is post him up more on one side and clear out the other side; he cannot make layups when 2-3 guys are around the rim. or he just needs to be a spot up 3pt shooter.
Ron is the man. He does all of the intangibles and keeps our energy level up, but it looks like he's a bit slow on the court right now. Did he put on a little too much muscle mass expecting to play more small forward/power forward? I remember when Horry did that for the Lakers and his game completely changed and it took him quite some time to find his new niche. At the same time, I wouldn't dog T-mac. He's obviously injured and came out to try to help us get a win against Dallas. He's definitely hobbled and his knee isn't treating him that well. I've personally had two ACL repairs and any type of knee type injury keeps you guessing. I want him to get back in form circa his Orlando days, but if he's going to be a step slow and regaining his form, I'd rather it be at the beginning of the season then during the playoffs. I'm just afraid he's going to have a major injury on the weak knee so if you're reading this T-mac, be careful! Beyond that, the game tonight may have ended badly, but there were definitely a lot of positives to go along with the negatives. Rafer looked strong going to the basket, Von Wafer got some more minutes and he's starting to look like he's got some potential to be a lankey swing man ala Posey. Scolandry is still a workhorse combination. The negatives just looked to be more spacing and timing issues more then anything. The plays all seemed designed for Artest and T-mac to be the focal points and although I agree that they should be getting a lot of touches, it gives the defense a good bit of set up time to deny the pass. We need more cutting and penetration which I'm glad both Rafer and AB can provide. Give Rick some more games to fine tune these things and we'll see our guys find their comfort zones and really put a beating on everyone. Naysayers beware, this team is not that far away from finding a groove, but don't worry there's always plenty of space on the bandwagon =)
No he didn't. Watch the game, not the boxscore. I'm not going to put much blame on him or anyone in particular. The whole team kind of sucked tonight. Oh and by the way T-Mac didn't guard Jason Terry and he's not been known for his defense for a while now so why would you bring that up? That's like asking where's Chuck's post game when the Mavs were up 10... The whole team rimmed shots in and out and missed all over the place. Ron missed 3 pt. blank layups and 6 fts or something like that. Just get over this game and move on. If some of those shots fall we win the game. MAVS SUCK. Edit: Read the post above. It's good.
Do not blame Tmac so much, that's unfair to him,he is still injured, not 100% or even 80% healed,he played the game because he want to win the game, also we lose this game is not his fault,if somebody wanna to,he should blame our coach, his terrible coaching skill.Adelman is a man who want to keep someone on the court when they do well, this our own problem,on the other hand,Dallas' shooting percentage is horrible. This puzzled me a lot,why always Mavs vs us have a high shooting rate
Yeah he did, Tracy does not even put himself in position to make lay-ups, or rebound, or play defense.....
Say what? Artest was 3/8 from the line and missed like 3 straight layups in a ROW. Yeah, that is better.
Is it just me or does Ron Artest look just plain goofy sometimes when he's dribbling around on the perimeter going from side to side - he looks like a weightlifter trying to play basketball. Maybe that's how he lulls the defense to sleep. Then he bulls forward and misses a lay-up. Motion offense in action.
