I am losing patience and confidence on Artest. It's more and more likely that he will be traded before the trade deadline.
I officially give up on the experiment. It may very well end up working, but if it was up to me I'd say let's move in a different direction. It's time to test the market for Artest, Tracy or both. I wouldn't pull the trigger on anything that didn't return reasonable value and I'd be very quiet about doing it, but enough is enough already.
It was pretty obvious something still wasnt right with him. He wasn't moving well yesterday at all. Wafer has to continue to play well.
Blah, blah, blah, I am sick of that. SIT YOUR FREAKIN' ASS until you can play in every game and play with no pain.
odd that chronicle or another local houston based media outlet didnt pick this story up first and it was on cbs. well its funny but i guess its a chance to see how the ball moves with only one ball stopper out there in tmac though i feel that tmac is less of a ball stopper than artest. and if he is traded boy that just sucks hopefully morey will get something of value from it...my best hope is that they get a rotational bench player (bigger more solid backup PG) and a first round pick
Which means rox are not trying to trade ron away AT ALL, right? I doubt a major trade goes down without an injured star being showcased first...
I have a sneaking suspicion that this goes beyond Artest's ankle. It could be a decision between the Rockets coaches and front office people to just sit him, because whatever he's been doing on the court hasn't been working that well. I hope that's not the case and I'm way off, but Artest took a number of very quick jumpers that could not have made Adelman very happy. And with Yao returning to the lineup, that would have effectively squeezed out Von Wafer from the rotation (Artest goes back to playing the backup wing positions instead of getting minutes at PF). This team is overloaded at the wing positions ... perhaps we could package Artest and Head for a solid backup PG, draft picks, and maybe a big body.
"at least we got one victory"? LOL.. umm he also got us a lost.. we probably would have had two victories had he not played. . . oh well byebye artest
Of course this was going to happen, we can never have our team health for the same game. If Ron isn't hurt than it's Mcgrady, Yao, or Battier. Why does our Training staff let guys come back only to have them play one or two games and then go back to sitting out? Can they not evaluate these guys more effectively before putting them back in the line up? They have done this with Battier, T-Mack, and Ron.
OR seems like the experiment failed and Ron does not suit the offense at all and who knows maybe he could be causing some inner locker room issues about whose team it is...could be causing tmac to pout about that. so the team is going to move ron at the deadline, no reason to play him then at all, especially with his injury let it rest up and let the others on the team including tmac build chemistry going into the all star break.....no reason to be playing a guy who the team plans to trade its not going to help the team at all. it seems that this year ron is set on going one on one all the team regardless of the situation out on the court, taking bad shots, etc (its a bit more acceptable if he was out there with a lineup of deke, chuck, rafer and battier) sort of just looking for his...oddly enough in a contract year. if he isnt traded then at the very least his ankle will have ample ample time to have rested and healed fully and given adelman enough time to figure out where to place ron who seems to be better suited to be with the bench unit.
