That's not brain damage, that's brain growth and development.

What's next, alcohol brain changes are cool?

Nothing in the 'mar1juana abnormality' post relates to brain damage

Yes. Atleast the good outweighs any of the side-effects. Every good 'drug' or 'medicine' has side-effects attached to it. Thats inevitable, mar1juana is no different. Alot more good than anything bad.

The authors of the study pretty clearly think it's bad.

My understanding is that this is actually a picture of CF member Deckard's brain.

Having known quite a few serious potheads(some of them reformed), I'd say the only long term effect I've observed is a poor memory. I don't know why there is no "conclusive" medical study on the memory effects, cuz that is literally what every pothead will tell you.

    Its NBC.

They not even really saying anything either.

The article quotes that just one small study of 40 people, showed that there was a difference in shape of a certin couple of parts of the brains of those who smoke 11 joints a week compared to those who don't.

There's no proof it does anything negative, they're just assuming because there is a change, its negative. They're trying to claim the change is damage, but they didn't prove that there was any damage to my knowledge.

Also, are these long term effects or short term? If you take someone who's been recently smoking for the past year, who smoked maybe the day, or hour before the study was taken, is it really credible? What if it only alters the brain for a short period of time? (I didn't read the study to hard so maybe it mentions something more about this)

Also, found this gem in they're study "mar1juana participants were
not excluded if they had used other illegal drugs in the past" That alone screws this study.

All of that is possible, but you could say the same for alcohol abuse.
