Arroyo wants out With Arroyo not getting any playing time, he wants out and the Jazz may be willing to move him cheaply. We wanted badly a few weeks ago, not sure about now. http://www.sltrib.com/jazz/ci_2523210
Im just afraid Arroyo reallly sux but Jerry Sloan was just making him look good. Hes known for that you know! Hes pretty cheap though if he really does have the skills.
I would rather hold the trigger and try to pick AD up in this summer. We need a taller G to defend perimeter. We do not need a so so PG but a very fit PG.
Arroyo's contract is cheap. He kinds of play dirty and I wouldn't mind when he is on your side. He showed he could ball in the Olympics, embarrasing the US team. I don't think it is just the Sloan system.
Yeah he definitely looked good in the Olympics against a bunch of US all stars. Supposedly he got in Sloans face because of being benched and now he is in the doghouse.
If we can get Arroyo, we definitely should. Arroyo seems like he has a good feel for the game, I've been impressed everytime I've seen him play. Arroyo is on a very cheap contract and Sura's knee can't possibly last until the end of the season plus playoffs.
The guy didn't tear a ligament or anything. The reports I've read said it's bruised. I know he has had it drained twice, which means they're trying to control swelling. The guy wouldn't be playing on it if doing so would further the injury. As long as he's handling the pain, he'll heal well. He still runs the court well, though we haven't seen him penetrate as much.
Arroyo is overrated as a player. Jerry Sloan is a great coach known for getting the most out of his players, if he doesn't want Arroyo then in my opinion neither do we. Wesley seems to be getting acclamated well now and while I don't think Sura is a pg, he is still playing well. I'm all for upgrading the pg position but not for carlos (even if it did meen ridding ourselves of Taylor). We don't need a head case on this team right when it seems we are coming together
You get what you pay for, I was amazed at what the Jazz paid him, thought he didn't get the money he deserved but maybe the Jazz knew something. He's a showboat that plays a out of control and he is not a great shooter, so I think it would be a mistake.
Arroyo may be overrated, but how about a couple of second round picks and part of a TE? Certainly he's worth that much. And if he starts voicing his lack of PT, Utah would do well to think about moving him for anything of value - no long term, dead weight contracts. Now if they did want to take Mo off our hands - too sweat, but realistically, I wouldn't hold my breath. Besides, they owe us for that last trade - big time.
I'll pass on CA and and wait till after the season. We need a defensive, rebounding PF in the worst way. However, I was really proud of how Juwan Howard stepped it up yesterday. I just want Mo to Go.
Just because the guy can handle the pain, that doesn't mean it will heal anytime soon or any better in that fact. The Chron says Sura's knee is day to day, so I'm not exactly sure how bad his injury is. But it is obviously something to worry about if it is day to day. Richard Jefferson has played through pain in his wrist for most of the season, he tried to hold it off as much as he could but now he is out for the season. I'm just saying that if we can get Arroyo for cheap, we definitely should jump on it. Depth has never hurt anyone.
