They mentioned it at the start of the show. So it should be a topic coming up later on. Again the media's opinion on matters shouldn't be taken seriously, but it's interesting that the idea has been brought into the national spotlight even it it's just remotely.
Hasn't been discussed yet. It was the 4th topic at the start of the show. They've only covered 2 topics so far and are in a commercial break. They should cover it after the commercials are over though.
yeah... was suprised that everybody agreed that the rox should keep him. attention was focused on yao instead. what a bunch of crap.
all of them basically said, this is his first problem in 5 yrs and this is just one incident...don't trade him all of them generally agreed yao ming is the problem...
Tim Cowlishaw hit it EXACTLY on the mark. EXACTLY what I have been saying all along. He's playing out of position, he's too good of a player to give up on. Bring in a true PG and end this nonsense.
Tim Cowlishaw- Doesn't think he should be traded and is an out of position player. Should move to the shooting guard. Jay Marrioti- Doesn't think he should be traded. Says Yao is to blame. Woody Paige- Doesn't think he should be traded. Yao is to blame for his mediocre impact on the game. Michael Holley- Doesn't think he should be traded either, and that Francis has never been a problem for the organization. Tony (Fill in for usual host)- Didn't say whether he should be traded or not. Was defending Yao saying Francis is shooting under 39% for the season and is only averaging 5 assists a game. Also that he quesitons whether Francis fits into JVGs system, while also mentioning that Yao hasn't developed a meanstreak yet, and the EG fiasco.
This is just ridiculous! Blaming Yao for the losses?! Woody Paige must be either an imbecile or Yao hater.
I think they're trying to say if Yao gave a consistent effort each game, we'd be in much better shape. I'm sure you've seen Yao's numbers in wins vs. losses. Sure you expect his numbers to be worse in losses, 'cause DUH we lost!, but still Yao's "bad" games definitely have a dramatic effect on the outcome.
I think they are partly right. I would not trade Francis either, at least not below the value of the impact he can bring to the game, which I still think is very high. Also, Yao needs to step it up. It is also true that this was Francis' first real issue since he started with the Rockets. All that being said, one lie less and one apology would have been nice.
The Rockets will regret the day they trade Francis. If the offense is focused on yao and he is not playin well, then yes it is his fault. I am not a Steve only fan, but we all know Yao need to grow some nuts.
Whatever. Hardley anyone played well during our losing streak. Steve had 1 good game. Yao was passive against the kings and didn't get the ball in any of the other losses. We haven't been passing to beat the front like we did against Boston. Total team failure. It's easy to blame Yao because of the way some in the media address him like the second coming but we're really an ensemble team if you look at the scoring averages and shot distribution.
Rockets need to trade both Steve and Yao. Steve gets schooled by Western Conference point guards too much, and Yao doesn't bring enough offensive firepower to bring this franchise up and off the ground. Yao is better off on a team that is already refined and set with its go-to offensive players. Steve is better off on a team lacking in any talent like the Magic, so he can dominate the ball 24/7.
Maybe Yao, Steve and Mobley should get drunk together one day and have a party with some chicks, to get some bonding going. For some reason, I think Steve is a good guy at heart from what I have seen and heard of him, maybe just a little immature and misguided at times and stubborn, but not anywhere near crooks like Rasheed Wallace.
One guy also makes $10 million who isn't playing up to his contract just like Cato and Maurice aren't.
There is something about your posts that really irritates me....trade them for whom? You want them to trade the whole team? What's your problem?
