Kurt Thomas is always solid, but I am hoping that Daryl has another move or two up his sleeve.

Dude is a curse if you want to win a championship. There's certain people you just can't sign: Juwann Howard and Kurt Thomas top that big man list.

    I'll say this:

Orlando should sign this dude. They get this guy, they'd win it all.

anyway, it'll be an ok move...its for a backup...people around here LOSE it, even over potential backups.

Ok that was a lil to much there bro.Sign Kurt Thomas and they will win it all LOL... What is your logic? This guy is like 50 years old and you think he is the answer for them to win a championship. LOL

Good god why Thomas? I would rather give up Jermaine Taylor as the asset that would net us someone like Chandler. Or someone young that is going to block shots. Thomas is like 60 years old. Dude makes Charles Jones look like Benjamin Button.

Anyone who says he's done doesnt follow basketball outside of houston. the guy came in and did a solid job for the bucks after bogut went down. He obviously wont score much, never was much of a scorer, but he's still a very solid rebounder. He's not going to mess up much, just goes out and does his job and does the dirty work.

Now, is he worth more than the minimum for houston? Probably not, since he won't get alot of PT next to yao/hill...

LOL... what is with some people around here? We don't want Chandler, Thomas or Miller? these guys will be playing around 15 minutes a game as a backup center... what you expect us to bring in Dwight Howard off the bench? If we are shooting for a championship I would take a solid no nonsense veteran any day as a backup C.... for the right price of course.

Why cant we just go into his season with Hill as the backup? When are we gonna start giving this guy the time to build his value?

exactly....it's not realistic to have a starter quality back up at every position....we have to realize these guys have some solid talent ahead of them and won't get more than 15 minutes consistently off the bench. Not to mention we have 2 solid backups at every position except for pg and technically center (even though we can throw in scola or hayes in there at times), so that's even less minutes to go around. One can all the back up minutes one game and none the next.

Thomas = true pf...it might have been a bit of an exaggeration but they'd benefit from having a low post defender.

Move Shard to the 3...your lineup benefits from it. All I'm saying for those guys.

The article only suggests he'll do better than the minimum. $2-2.5 million?
