told you it would only be one game. Haters can hate but Ariza still has my support. He's gunna be here for a while.
he needs to learn to control himself. i wish he wouldve gotten more. i have not read an apology. if he wouldve hit the guy, boy would he be in a world of trouble. it couldve started a brawl which may have included some of our other players getting suspended.
Ariza's got until the middle of next year to improve his shot/game, in my book. It ought to be plenty of time. I'll be happy to have him on the roster until them (and hopefully from then on)! That said, he needs to be aware that we have a rather short roster and cannot afford to lose ANYONE for a single game.
My theory about Ariza goes like this, he probably worked really hard on his game last summer but I doubt he had any real clue of what parts of his game truly needed work. He had never been in a situation like he is now with all the freedom and all the responsibility. It's hard to prepare for double teams, shooting off two dribbles with a defender on you or passing out after penetrating when you've never done that in games. This summer I think he will have a very, very clear picture of his strengths, weaknesses and what he needs to do (both on the practice floor and the film room) to improve drastically. I expect this season will pretty much be a throw-away year for him but next season I expect to see a smarter, more efficient player.
It was kinda of funny, seeing him throw that weak elbow and actually miss. It looked Ron Artestish, however, Artest elbow would have sent DeRozan to the emergency room. Chill Trevor, your shooting will come back. Trying going strong to the bucket with another reverse jam...
If he would have hit him............... Glad it didnt connect tho. We should do just fine without him.
People are saying that now it's T-macs turn. I'd love to see Chase get over 35 minutes. I guarantee if Morey gave Chase "Ariza's green light", he would show progress, play to his strengths, and never take bad shots. I think Chase could be our next Landry/Brooks where he needs consistent 30 minute games to break out.
Cant wait til after the Rockets beat Detroit, there's going to be so many "Trade ariza" threads saying the Rockets are better without him
NOW STARTING AT SG 6'8" OUT OF MT. ZION CHRISTIAN ACADEMY....# 3 TRACCCCCYYYYYY MCGGGRRRRAAAAADDDDDDYYYYYYYYYYY
I suppose that's one way to look at it. A lot of players get frustrated. You may commit a stupid hard foul. You may quit in a game. But you take a punch at another player's head??? It's hard for me to forgive that kind of behavior. I'll draw another work-analogy. Not that I would do any of the following but... I can get away with maybe blowing up at a coworker. I can probably get away with throwing something, perhaps cursing out loud if i'm having a bad day. If I throw a punch at someone at work...my guess is there will be few to forgive me and I would be escorted out by a cop and looking for new work.
