Putting aside your hate for Green (he's a POS, but I feel like I would get over it if he was on the Rockets) who would you rather have this series? Both versatile defenders that bring secondary scoring. Their games are a little different, but are their teams most important role players.

Ariza, I cringe every time we go into the paint to help on Green drives to the basket which allow them for open threes.

ariza is a champion. green, while a very gifted baller, is unproven. so there's that.

and ariza is my favorite rocket on the current team. so what you expect. :)

How is this statement in favor of Ariza?

Draymond Green is better. He can handle the ball, can pass, and is a DPOY candidate. He gets rebounds and is a very good post defender that can also defend on the perimeter. He is very good all around.

Green can finish around the rim and getting the putback unlike Ariza. Also has better handles than Ariza.

    BOTH!

Ariza at the 3. And Draymond at the 4.

    Can.you.imagine.what.we.would.be.like.with.Draymond?

We'd be what GS is now except with better defense and bench. And we had our chances. #2012 draft.

I love me some playoff Ariza, but I feel Green's game is perfectly suited for this team.

I'll take Ariza. He did everything he possibly could last night to try to give us the win. Green's a flopping, illegally-grappling thug, but if he gets away with it, which he did last night, he comes across as a DPOY candidate. Ariza doesn't do that ****; he just effectively sticks to the hardest guys on the opposing team and has great awareness of the passing lanes as well.

Ariza's not a superb ball handler, but once or twice a game he gets an open shot at the basket and drives in and dunks it like he should. I'm glad he's been making threes lately, but I wish the Rockets would open more lanes for him to go to the basket. Give me wide open dunks and layups any time over faith in any Rocket's three-point shooting in any game.

I mean for this series i'm not sure, we need Ariza to guard IGGY, Curry and Thompson. But if your asking in general i'm taking Green everyday.

I'm fine with Ariza. I think he's the most underrated player remaining in the playoffs.

Especially, if this talk of Green getting a max contract has any legs. Ballooning salary cap or not, that would be Ben Wallace Part II.

Not really comparable. Both do different things for their teams. I think Green's pretty obviously the better overall player, but Ariza probably is more of what the Rockets need.

He is perfectly suited for this team and would make us a juggernaut.

I get that Green is pretty good at basketball and can understand how people would think that he would be a good fit for our team.

But I just can't stand him. Not even a little bit. So there's no way that I can say that I would want him on our team.

The teams that find the Draymond Greens, not the ones that pay them the max, are the ones that succeed long term. ;)

    Fine with Ariza.

If they were paid even Green

we all know Green is getting a max or near max at the end of the season

Ariza brings what we need at a solid Price

Green is Chandler Parsons on Steroids with a little less O and a lot more D

With a healthy Howard, DMO, and Beverely

    we would take those guys
