The Rockets are 22-17 [Edit: apparently I can't type... the poll numbers are wrong, too... but you get the idea.] after a difficult schedule. Trevor Ariza has played 38 mpg during this time.

In the meantime, many have complained about his play, and Adelman's decision not to reduce his minutes for someone allegedly better (Budinger? McGrady?).

So, what do you think the team's record will be if Ariza was never signed and the Rockets have had the same roster minus Ariza (assume for the moment the Rockets never used the salary lot to signed)?

    Poll coming up.

I'm going to be conservative and say we would be 25-14.

And I'm not necessarily saying without him, but with him playing as more of a role/team player than as a first or second option on offense.

His defense and athleticism has helped this team a lot, but he should not handle the ball at all or try to make plays. He needs to stick to running in the fastbreak and backdoor cuts cause otherwise, he'll just keep turning the ball over.

This is dumb. You acknowledge the viewpoint of those that feel his minutes/role should simply be reduced yet instead of making that an option in your poll you make it some all-or-nothing type proposal.

Certainly, you could have came up with a 'gooder' poll than this. :)

They would be undefeated with a healthy Von and Shane starting in the backcourt.

You're right they wouldn't be gooder. They would be a BETTER team with a player to take his spot.

Wait were talking about a team that doesn't have Yao and major changes are going to be made with the T-mac trade.

Ariza is bad for this team only because his skillset isn't what we are looking for in a championship team... Yes he looks like he's helping now because we dont' have anybody other than AB and Landry...

    1. He can't dribble
    2. He makes bone head decision
    3. He can't shoot!!!!! He's a horrible 3pt shooter yet likes to be there
    4. He's showing emotion in the wrong way.. I love passion but why get pissed if AB doesn't want to pass it to you when your at the 3pt line and you don't want to attack the basket!!

    What is he good at?

    1. Length
    2. Steals (deflections)
    3. Above average on defense.

It cannot be "worser" if Ariza is not playing for the Rockets. I agree with some of the posters here that the way the poll question is formulated, it becomes an all or nothing choice essentially.

Ariza is a very good player and he could contribute significantly for the Rockets if he plays, and told to play, within his limitations.

Asking Ariza to be a focal point of the offense is like asking a Paper Plate to play Smoke on the Water.
