Just saw on ESPN that if he gets 97 yards rushing this sunday he will become only the 3rd player ever to get over 500 yards rushing and 100 recieving in the first 4 games! GO A.F. GO!

I think he's already got the record for rushing yards in the first three games as a first year starter. The record had been 330 yards I think.

I thought game one was just a fluke, but this guy is legit.

Congrats. I thought the first game was a fluke, like some others, but he is the real deal. Looking at his stats:

-He leads the league in rushing yards
-Has the most yards per attempt of anyone with over 40 carries
-Is tied for the most 20+ yards runs (4, tied with Jamal Charles)
-Leads the league in yards per game
    -Has the 4th most attempts
-I believe I read in another thread that he averages the most YAC by someone with over X amount of receptions (He's averaging 13 YAC...he has 105 YAC on 8 receptions)

In a true testament of the play maker he's been, let's review these stats:

Foster has 24 first downs on rushing plays, 8 more than anyone else in the league(Adrian Peterson). In fact, on 69 attempts, Foster's 24 rushing attempts equates out to a first down on 35% of his carries. Adrian Peterson equates out to 23%. Maurice Jones-Drew equates to 25%. Chris Johnson equates to 19%. Jamal Charles, who's been arguably one of the most electric players in the league is 30%.

In fact, Foster has 3 first downs on his 8 receptions. That equates to a 38%. That's not as great of a percentage, but when you combine the two, it means Foster is getting a first down on 35% of his touches. That's a pretty good percentage.

I didn't say it was involved with today's benching of Foster. You assumed it was. I just posted it because I thought it was funny.

And my wording is correct, although it was all in humor and fun between the 2.

Not to go on with this, but if I was to post the reason of why Arian got benched I would have opened a new thread or put it in the game thread, like what's in the game thread right now.

I know I'm late to this "Arian Nation" gathering but can someone explain to me what makes him so good??? I know some players come out of nowhere and are successful often times becuuse they are a product of the system they're in but he seems to be the real deal. So I'm really intrigued.

Looking from his college career numbers it looks like he had an up and down career... is it because of this inconsistency that he went unnoticed? How does a player like him float under the radar and not get drafted?? or noticed by other pro scouts? Is it attitude/character issues that always held him back??

He has a near perfect balance of size and power versus speed. He has apparent world class field vision and decisiveness.
He is very difficult to bring down as well, and has shown very good skill in spins and cuts when needed to allude.

according to most reports his biggest knocks have been his attitude and work ethic, the biggest killers of pure talent. only 4 games into the season and we've already seen some of those issues surface... hopefully for the last time.

I noticed this as well so I don't think he's a fluke. It just boggles my mind that none of these "Pro scouts" noticed this to even draft him and give him a chance. I know there have been players with far worse attitudes that have gotten picked up in the past.
