This is why I’ve come to strongly distrust populism and leaders that rely on populism on both the Left and the Right.

 

I can see why folks who love trump love this guy, same frat boy play book......................sorry, this is not how leaders act.....but I get it, it allows folks who think like this to openly root for it

Wish modern politicians would be more stately. The use of curse words and sexual analogies should be beneath the dignity of the offices these people hold. Sets a bad example for the rest of society.

U.S. National debt now stands at nearly 34 trillion with no serious calls to address the issue.

Barely any politician, or anyone here, even pays lip service to tackling this grave threat to our Republic.

But hey, we just passed another $900 billion defense spending bill.

 

It seems like it would be a smart move to help the transition to the dollar. Take over a large chuck of their IMF debt and lower the interest and or delay re-payment if they switch to the dollar.

 

Damn, you people are dumb. Our electronic voting machines print out paper ballots. It only makes tallying faster and paper ballots can still be audited and re-counted in close races.

 

Yep. Noam Chomsky calls himself an anarcho-capitalist. I don't see too many on the right aligning with him. Anarcho-capitalism is maybe slightly less stupid than the American version of libertarianism.

 

Sounds pretty heavy handed by the government. Wasn't this guy supposed to be a libertarian? I guess once in power, it's hard to resist using the power of the state to curb freedom in the name of order.
