Which non-NFL league do you consider to be the most legit, with the best players, and the most likely to work as a sort of "farm" system for the NFL. Someone asked me this question, and I had a hard time coming up with an answer.

    Any thoughts?

Truthfully I love Football more than anything but all those leagues suck. Arena football is probably the best just because it is at least somewhat interesting to watch.

NFL Europe I guess since it is closest to the NFL game. I do wish they would bring it over to the US though. Put teams in cities taht don't have a NFL team so that the games would get more exposure. But I guess one of the main goals is to advertise the NFL in Europe, that is why it will stay there.

I always liked the CFL. They had the 55 yard line, the "single" concept, 3 downs to get a 1st, rules on how many non-Canadians you could have on your team (I think it was called the import rule), and other things.

There for awhile, it seemed in the early '80s, the CFL was attracting some topnotch talent like Vince Ferragamo, Bruce Clark, White Shoes Johnson, and others.

I barely keep up with it now, but I think there is no question, that the league is not as good as it was in the '80s and '90s.

That and the abject failure of similar teams that were located in the states. The original NFL-backed effort was the World League that had, in addition to a handful of teams in Europe, teams in San Antonio, Montreal, Birmingham, New York/New Jersey, Columbus, Orlando, Raleigh/Durham and Sacramento. They folded in 1993 and the League was resurrected as a Europe-only league in 1995.

    Who voted other? LOL

Obviously, nothing comes remotely close to the NFL. The XFL was a joke, and no one cares about the CFL anymore. I guess it's just a question of which one is the least awful.

Arena League IS lot of fun to watch, though.
