    Since new years was on saturday don't companies give a day off for new years?

    Yes, because we received last Thursday and Friday off for New Years. Not complaining.

    Got off an hour early on Thursday, had Friday off, now I'm back at work....I almost called in. Of course, instead of working, I'm on here.

    I was off Monday, worked a half day Tuesday and Wednesday and Thursday and then was off Friday.

    I am pissed I'm working today! :grin:

    had the last two weeks off, including today.

    setup Tomorrow-Friday.

    school begins Monday the 10th.

    Off today. They told us it was an holiday for the Houston office yet NYMEX is open so half the staff was forced to show up. Somehow, that did not apply to me but I have already spent half the morning on my blackberry answering emails so it hasn't been the greatest day so far.

    I have had the last two weeks off with pay but am finally back today and I was ready to be back. I work at a public university.

    Working today... But, we were given floating holidays for the day before Christmas Eve (AMAZING :eek: ) and New Years. I'll add them to a few vacation days and take an EXTENDED break form this place at the end of the month.

    I had Friday off and am working today. It also happens to be the busiest work day of the year for me, which explains why I'm on ClutchFans posting...
