    Me: Herbert Hoover

    I win.

I almost never post in the D&D, but this is frickin ridiculous.. it's actually rather hilarious.. Repubs are so mad that they have an unqualified joke of a VP that doesn't know what the "Bush Doctrine" is, so they decided to find something about the VP from the other party that makes him sound "dumb" so they could create some sort of comparison between the two..

first off, allow me to inform you that any person with the slightest of comprehension skills can see that Biden didn't actually say that "oh, FDR was the president during the market crash" .. Think about it, who fixed the god awful depression? FDR.. what did he do to fix it? got on TV, national-level projects etc... so Biden didn't say anything wrong, and trust me, unlike Palin, he still remembers stuff he learned in 11th grade American HIstory..

oh by the way, he doesn't have a journalism degree, he has a BA (double major in History and Political science) and a JURIS DOCTOR for Syracuse Law..

I think y'all are better off calling Obama an "elitist".. But to go after Biden's intelligence/knowledge is a really dumb idea IMHO ..

I protest the results of this poll. I know for certain that The Cat is smarter than Joe Biden. I've read what both of them have written.

I don't know what's the purpose of this poll. Anybody with half a brain can see Biden is well more prepared for the job than Palin. I can't wait till Biden and Palin duke it out this Friday.

    Oh wait.. :(

    Palin is a puppet.

I never knew who Biden was before he was chosen as the VP, but I'm seriously amazed at his intelligence. Whereas Palin has been underwhelming to say the least.

Btw, calling Biden out on his slip is like pointing out to a kid the one mistake he made on a 99 test paper.

actually, i think Biden's bloody brilliant.

[rquoter]Sen. Joseph Biden, who has emerged as the clear-eyed antiwar realist in the Democratic race, told National Review Online that the idea of a president meeting with Ahmadinejad, Chavez, and others was “naïve.” “World leaders should not meet with other world leaders unless they know what the agenda is, so you don’t end up being used,” Biden said. “When I went to meet with Milosevic before the war, the condition I met with him was that no press would be available, I’d only meet him in his office late at night, and I wouldn’t dignify being seen with him.”[/rquoter]

He's either a 'yes man' or a 'foot in mouth idiot'. Can't have it both ways.

I'm as smart as anyone running for office. I don't have any of the other requisite qualities nor perhaps the appopriate experence that they have. But, intelligence is not the division - which is probably true for most posters here.

JURIS DOCTOR? That sounds much fancier than having a basic law degree.

Yes, and most everyone else in the Congress. There are very few people in Congress I would trust to run a small business, much less the Government. Political prowess does not equal competence in most other matters. The political elites have disdain for the common voter, they want their vote but not their ideas. From top to bottom we probably have the most incompetent leadership in the history of the Nation and the upcoming election will change little.

Yeah, take the typical successful convenience store owner or carpet cleaning service owner and let them run the country. That is what will return our country to greatness. After all small business owners have executive experience in the private sector unlike US Senators who are just government bureaucrats who lack executive experience.

My knowledge of foreign affairs might not be in the same ballpark as Biden, who has vast experience in the area, but at least is far beyond Ms. Palin's! Smarter than Joe Biden? I certainly couldn't get in front of a large crowd and the media, and give a major foreign policy speech, like Joe Biden did today. Maybe if the audience consisted of basso, Trader_J, baby texxx, and giddy. ;)

Did anyone else watch Biden's speech awhile ago? I thought it was excellent and hard-hitting against McCain/Bush, while pointing out how Obama would be a vast improvement over either one. How Bush's policies have moved more towards Obama's in some areas, while McCain clings to the proven bankrupt policies that Bush is trying to leave behind. Anyone who didn't see Biden today should find it on the net and check it out.
