Although the results would probably be skewed by the fact that the season ended an hour ago, I'm sure everyone is in agreement that it was and should have been second round or bust, especially considering:

    1) Home Court Advantage

    2) Jazz were playing terrible at the end of the season and beginning of this series, and the Rockets should have been able to win one of the three in Utah

    3) Management's INSTISTANCE on "WIN NOW" and as a result trading away our draft pick for an older, unathletic role player and no playing V-Span, thus hurting the future of the franchise the same way it did when it traded for barkley.. The only difference - this team can't even win a stinkin series.

Of course not, and who would be. But I'm not completely surprised either. We didn't have the right pieces going in.
    We're weak at the 4 and 1.
We had absolutely no one to put on Boozer and he picked us apart.
No one to create their own shot.
I'm sure the What if-Bonzi question will be asked, but I'm not sure he would have been an answer.

We need another player or set of plays that can get us easy baskets. Our rookie GM has his work cut out for him.

I also hate to think we were outmatched by a lineup with Harpring and Derek Fisher. Grrrr.

As bad as I feel right now though, I really have to feel for Tracy and Ming.

as far as I am concerned this season was a failure, we are no better than the Magic, both getting bounced in the 1st round

    Absolutely not

    2-0 lead
    Homecourt advantage
2 of the best offensive players in the game

This should be it for JVG. Period. Blown 2-0 leads twice.

I said at the beginning of the season, we needed to at least make the 2nd round. We didn't do it, and we had Game 7 on our home floor. So no, I'm definitely not satisfied with this season.

There are things to be positive about. Winning 52 games with all the injuries. The team not quitting when Yao went down. Finishing in the top 4 in a very tough Western Conference.

But like Dallas, all that hard work was for nothing when you lose Game 7 at home. And when your team is built on defense and rebounding, and both fail you miserably tonight, it does make you take pause and look at the direction this team is headed.

I thought the team overachieved, because i saw this team as 6th or 7th seed team who would get swept in the 1st by a Spurs, Mavs, Suns, or Jazz.

They had a good year, but i saw it in the off-season that this team would not have enough to go far in the playoffs. They never involved their more athletic players like Snyder, Wells, or V-Span or higher calibur players on who are near all star level. I believe the blame goes on management for not wanting to spend a little extra cash on adquate players or drafting the right players.

It's not really that bad, some players didn't win their first title until their 30s. It's not that bad for T-Mac he still has another good 5 years, if management does the right job. We are still in better situation than say Dallas or Lakers.

Well I wanted to see how far people wanted this team to go.

I was pretty sure most members including my self are let down but would losing in the second round be good enough or even more for you not to be satisfied?

If you only count the regular season, yes im satisfied, becuase we get a very good record with yao injured, but with the playoffs im very dissapointing, I was hoping the rockets past the 1st round.
