In all honesty, I'm getting tired of the headlines being dominated by the election. I'm tired of seeing and hearing about Obama and McCain and Biden and Palin. We see them on local news, national news, and now they are being squeezed into our sports with interviews coming with both candidates on Monday Night Football. I see something about them on 95% of the websites I visit, 95% of the material I read, etc.

I'm glad that the American people are energized about this race and are getting out and voting in record numbers but I'm seriously ready for it to be over with now. How about you?

    I am sick of it.

But I admit I am enjoying watching the death of the modern conservative movement play out in super-slow motion.

    This is the fun part!

Hard part starts on Wednesday morning.

I'm excited about Tuesday for 2 reasons...

    1. The prospect of our great country heading in a better direction than the path through hell we've been on for 8 years.

    2. This election will finally be over. The ads. The mailers. The calls. The signs. The bickering.

Just think. As of Wednesday, we'll have a whopping year until it starts all over again. 2010 brings us a gubernatorial race and, of course, all of the congressional races.

Who the heck isn't? I'm tired of all the negative attacks between everyone.

I'm really ready for the next president to be sworn in, and for him and congress get together and work toward doing whatever it is that they are going to do. It would be nice to know what moves I need to make. Tax effects could be huge. How many promises will be broken?
