simple poll to see the consensus on CF

Kevin Durant for Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, the No. 10 pick in the 2025 draft and five second-round picks

Really surprised Phoenix is taking basically same salary as sending out. I don't think KD can be a star every game, but he's better than Green and Brooks.

Yes. Very. We needed go to scoring in the worst way and we just obtained one of the best pure scorers ever for nothing of much value to us.

No, we sent out a 23-year-old up-and-coming star for a 37-year-old who has not had any success in the past seven years.

I love it. Hopefully they baby him in the regular season for health in the playoffs. Sit an end of back to backs. 32 mpg. max. PHX ran him into the ground.

The trade made the Rockets better even if KD never plays.

Too many factors to know yet. How much will Jalen improve, how good will the 10th pick be, how much $$$ will a 38-year-old demand, will he stay healthy, will he play defense?

This. Treat him like Adams, let the young guys carry him during the regular season and then let him loose in the playoffs.

Not sure, it's a long term trade. Depending on Jalen Green's future development, how many years KD can play and whether rockets can win a chip with him.

Getting KD while getting rid of Jalen? Wait, no Jabari? WAIT, and no more first round picks other than the #10?

I love this deal. I will miss Dillon though, he is fun to watch.

Even if Jalen turns into Shai (I highly doubt it)...yes. On paper (before San Antonio makes any moves) we're the favorite right now IMO.

I’m happy but worried about the Fred / Amen backcourt. I didn’t want to let Jalen go but I understand. If he ends up an all star I’ll be pretty upset we kept Fred over him who I think we should’ve traded instead

If I don’t see Reed or Cam play then I’ll be hella mad. We need to start working towards how this team will look after Fred & KD. Reed & Cam could replace them in 2 years

Of course I was very much against the trade, but to be objective If you were going to actually do the trade that is about as good as you would realistically get.

It wasn't Jalen, Jock and a pick but just north of it. We didn't give up other young players in the core or first round picks so the gamble is reduced.

Now the success of the trade is TBD with the extension, health and if other missed opportunities happen over the next few years plus. Time will tell if the trade will be praised or the leadership needs to be held accountable.

But I would love to be wrong and we win a championship, but these next two years are the best bet to attack this contending window. We'll see what happens.

For the price the trade is outstanding.

Realistically the young core probably still needed a season or two of growth to turn into annual title contenders - having KD for the next two years ensures that we make deep playoff runs, to learn and grow from, every year until they are ready.

As long as he stays healthy, yes.

I prob won't miss Jalen Green unless he takes a miracle turnaround on his career but I will miss Brooks a lot, I felt like he was a core part of our dawg culture. I hope we can maintain that culture with him gone. Brooks getting a lot of techs kinda riles up our young players, makes them lock in and play mad.

10th pick.. well that could be anything but all signs pointed us drafting Carter Bryant who has shades of Tari Eason.

If we end up signing KD to a 2year extension I hope it isn't 60M/year like it is reported. Hope it's something like 50M or less. If it's going to be 60M then we need to make the last year a team option. Also, we need to make sure KD's minutes are limited so he's as healthy as possible when the playoffs comes around.

We should baby him to the maximum so he can take less money on his extension.
