You guys still want this guy?

What were you impressions of him from the Rockets/Lakers game?

He's owed $19 mil this year and each of next 2 years

I want the same deal for Andrew freaking Bynum...

Pau is worth every penny of the max, he is just a douche, and I'm glad he is a Laker.

How about answering the friggin questions. The other thread is all over the place with no specific questions

What were your thoughts of Gasol from the game today? The way he played today (pretty much how hes played since April 2011 every game) would that have been acceptable for the salary the Rockets would've taken on if the grade had gone through

I am not a friend of Gasol....the elder....... I like his brother more.
No. His 18.9 millions are too much for him right now....guy's playing like a p***y since the playoffs.

He had a good regular season last year but that was all.
and I am a friend of Nene but I think Gasol and Nene cannot play together well enough much like Martin and Budinger..... C- offense and B- defense and rebounding
Contractwise both are horrible.....Neither is a superstar and Gasol's recent numbers are far away from allstar level.

It is actually ironic that Bynum makes Gasol's game better. Should have worked the other way because Gasol was the Allstar.

Bynum has been a beast since coming back this year, there are some fans on another forum that rather keep him than trade for Dwight Howard.

Oh I love watching a mediocre ball club fight for the 7th and 8th seed in the West for 3 straight years now. I love being back at square one in Morey's master plan to make us relevant again. I love having an owner wanting to make sure enough seats are filled for the next game rather than 5 years from now.

Yep, just love our situation now.

I'd want him just so the Lakers would have zero chance at another championship.

Gasol and Dalembert would've been a great front court. Put in Courtney Lee to replace Martin and now we'd have a solid defensive team.

I wouldn't even have worried about Gasol being soft, not when you have a guy like Lowry bustin his butt every night. That kind of effort rubs off on players.

    Seriously?

Bynum's big and talented, but in the last 4 years, he's missed 47, 32, 17 and 35 games. That's a lot of money to have sitting in the trainer's area for big chunks of the season. And he's still just 24 -- young guys shouldn't be injured THAT much (Greg Oden excluded).

    I am not glad.

He would give this team that presence we desperately need in the middle.

I really do envision him+Lowry being a pretty lethal combo tbh.

But oh well, it is what it is.

Pau Gasol was the reason why the Lakers won back to back championships. How fast people forget.
