With the weather turning cool, I'm starting to see a lot more hats on heads. Of course there is the constant parade of trucker/ball caps on the younger generation, but I'm also seeing all sorts of hats on other heads as well. In my minds' eye I see Deckard with a Fedora, Sishir Change with a British Motoring Cap, Ottomaton as Sherlock Holmes, etc. I love to see people wearing hats but trucker/baseball hats are pretty boring. A friend of mine's father was an art professor at a college up north. The first time I visited his hourse I noticed his dad's hat collection. They were hanging on an wall-mounted accordian pegs up at the top landing of the stairs. He must have had 30 hats of all sorts-- no baseball caps except one Phillies cap. He would just grab one on the way down the stairs. Ever since then I started noticing hats. I even tried to start a collecton myself but I don't particularly like wearing hats. They make me too hot most of the time. I still have five or six. Anyone else indulge?
I shave my head because of balding. I have to wear a hat or I will get a head cold or a serious sunburn followed by skin cancer.
I wore ball caps basically everywhere in college. I can't wear them as often as I did in college now that I have a job, but still do occasionally. Been meaning to buy some more, the two caps I do have I've had for a couple of years and have they've gotten kind of ratty.
I've had thinning hair for twenty years. This summer I cut it pretty short (not shaved or even closely clipped but short nonetheless) for the first time and I like it so I can see more hats in my future. We are supposed to have a cold, snowy winter here in Piedmont North Carolina. I wish I had some of the hats that I used to have... I might need them.
i wore hats all the time, especially when my lazy ass just didnt want to get a hair cut, but have cut back since I can't wear hats at my current job
Yes! I love hats. I have about 6 hats. I have good hair, but I love wearing them from time to time. I usually wear a military style hat. My friends call me an indie hipster though.
I'm still counting the days until the derby becomes fashionable again. I have an awesome one I got from the Cobra Kai. (or was it Sigma Chi? I forget.)
Technically I am a hat person but I don't really wear them much right now. Currently my hair is long-is so if I wear any head cover it is a large bandana or skul cap. Hats work well with me butnot really with my style of clothes right now. I am fully commited, however, to hats once I pass 50. Oh and they most certainly will be of the 19th century variety. Of course I will probably be in full dandy or Victorian gentleman style at that time.
Yes, I like to wear baseball caps and I have 10 or 11 baseball caps and im looking to buying more hats, I have 4 rockets baseball caps
I am very much a hat person...but I dont have a running collection. I'm very picky about hats because most of them I hate how they look on me. So, I have two and only two (with the exception of some beanies during winter) baseball caps that I wear. One is an Astros cap I recently found at Academy when I wasn't even searching for one and the other is the University of Houston cap that I've worn for the past seven years or so; I will NEVER get rid of this cap...it has been with me through thick and thin, has mulitple sweat and dirt stains, it's worn in to perfection..probably looks nasty to the naked eye, but that is JUST the way I like it!
I love the way hats look on other people. For some reason I don't feel I pull it off. Everytime I try them on in the store they look better on the rack than on my head. I wish I could wear them cause I like em.
Here's my favorite hat: For some reason when I wear it around town people tend to walk far away from me. I guess they are just so impressed by how cool I look that they realise how silly they'd look by comparison.
From about 1990 to last July, I wore a hat for a combined three hours, probably. Not including Little League. Just hated them, never liked them. Since my brother bought me a Yacht Rock hat: I wore that just about every time I went out from July until mid-September. Since then, every time I go out, I've worn a cap my grandfather got from Ireland about 20 years ago. Think Brian Johnson: I have really long hair now, and it just seems the thing to do.
