No because there is no equivalent of a Duncan, Parker, or Ginobili on this team.

The Spurs were able to be successful with Duncan at a younger age then we were with Yao.

We cant follow the path of the Spurs if we can't rely on our big man like the Spurs could.

The truth is that we have probably 2-3 years to build around Yao before we have to find another option.

We are a poor mans spurs team.

not necessarily, that can be all true for most teams, except for maybe 5 and 7

Duncan - Yao (classic big man)
Parker - Brooks (scorer, driving pg)
    ginobli - Martin (slasher, scorer)

Not saying we have the same developed talent as them.

If we get Chris Bosh in a SnT then we would start looking like the 1999 Spurs with an aging center and a young PF with tons of potential leading the team. Not exactly the same but sort of similar and lots of low profile personalities on the team.

    Brooks - Parker
    Martin - Ginobli
    Yao- David Robinson
    Bosh - Duncan

Exept Duncan>>>>>Yao and he rarely gets injured either.

You want take the path of the Spurs? Let's tank and get a guy who will deliver 4 championships like they did.

    got Yao before Daryl Morey.
basically he's molding the Rockets team to what he and Rick wants.

I disagree with 4, Pop has a stronger hold on his players, while Adelman seems to like to let his players loose.

Also in addition to 6, the Spurs seem to be a much more defensive minded team, where we're more focused on offense.

    Just my 2/100 cents.
