we have 4 wins (tied with the lakers, jazz, and cavs for the longest streak so far this season). tmac is out around the same time yao was out last year. and after reading certain quotes from the players, it seems that the team is starting to mesh and the chemistry is starting to click again. can we do it again? on nba.com "We are really focused, focused on 48 minutes, not like before," Yao said. "It's a good thing that we know -- this is who we have, this is who we are,'' Scola told reporters. "Now, everybody can take a role, whatever it is, and it's a good thing. I wish we could have everybody healthy. But this is who we have now, and we have to take it.''
It's hard to believe we will win 22 games in a row, or anything close to that by looking at our schedule. Last year, this came around the time when we had a very soft schedule. Don't get me wrong, I give the team all the credit in the world for the 22 game win streak. I'm not one of the nay-sayers who say it was simply scheduling. That being said, I do think we can go on a nice run with the way things are going
No, but we are chasing the mindset that got us 22 straight wins. I have to say I like the effort so far. The Rockets have a shown team mentality, have locked in defensively, and have had a fluid offense. With a consistent roster and rotation, the Rockets can get back into a nice groove that hopefully peaks when the Playoffs start. A 20-2 or a 19-3 run over 22 games seems in the realm of possibility, but last year's streak was a product of hard work, great team chemistry, and luck. There's a reason it's the second longest in league history. Even the Celtics this year could only get close.
If they get to a 15 or 16 game streak going then you can start talking but not at 4 games Personally I don't care about a streak, just want to see improvement, esp on D.
man that 22 game winning streak spoiled a lot of people. IT WAS THE 2ND LONGEST STREAK IN HISTORY! its not like it happens on a frequent basis
I personally hope the Rox go an a winning spree but maybe about 10-12 games just to move up in the standings and build some confidence. It seemed like last year after the 22 games they didnt play with the same passion as when they did it. A win streak like that is emotionally draining. 22 in a row during the regular season doesnt mean anything when you're 1 and done. What the Rockets need is to build some chemistry and work on getting better as unit on D.
Sorry I read this... "The Rockets are tied with the Lakers, Jazz and Cavaliers for the longest winning streak in the league, at four games." ...on nba.com and read it wrong. tied at 4 games CURRENTLY.
It will be almost a miracle this time around knowing the strength of schedule we have coming: Portland Cleveland Utah Phoenix Denver Lakers Detroit San Antonio New Orleans Utah Phoenix Lakers Portland Orlando New Orleans Dallas
of course they are chasing it heck any 1 game winning streak could be considered chasing the 22-game streak from last year. of course achieving it is another thing. I would be overjoyed if they were able to reel of a streak of 8-10 games with the upcoming schedule
no we are not chasing 22 win streak we are just trying to win as much as possible to get home court advantage in playoff
If you "chase" a streak, you'll never get it. You have to relax and let it happen naturally. My opinion, anyway.
It's the longest current nba streak buddy, not the longest "so far this season." I know off the top of my head that the celtics won over 15 straight at one point.
