is it just me, or should we be building the Wall along the Oklahoma and New Mexico borders?

I mean, Texas ia the greatest country in the world.

My thinking is when we secede the best approve is to first colonize New Orleans...we already have most of their population anyhow...and we could promise to help them get their NBA team back as a bonus. Then we go for the Panama Canal. Yeah yeah yeah...people tell me Mexico is in the way...but we can just toss a stick (look jobs) and they will be preoccupied long enough to go get the canal.

Of course, we don't want to build the wall right on the New Mexico border...we need Fort Bliss. Maybe just wrap the wall around that!

Think about it. We would own NOLA, the canal and Mexican food! No more Tex-Mex. It would just me Tex!

I nominate HP as Supreme Leader of the Texan Popular Front.

We have a natural kinship with our Cajun and Mexican brothers, and we must protect them from the Yankee hordes, their nasal accents, and their culinary crudeness.

I missed this, being in Houston at an internet black hole, but I just want to say that we should have listened to old Sam Houston back when succession was the topic of the day. He tried to convince Texas that if we were going to leave the Union, we should return to our state of independence, instead of joining what he saw as a mad enterprise... the Confederacy. I've always thought he was right, and have wondered what our history might have been, had Texans had the foresight to follow his sage advice.

    Oh, and Happy Holidays, HP!
