One thing that upsets me is that it appears as though the Rockets are not developing their past picks, namely Nachbar. While living in Europe over the past 5 years I have had the chance to see this guy play. I can tell you that the original comparisons to Peja Stojakovic were accurate. I am hoping that he was not kept on the bench for fear of alienating other players.

Please inform me of any updates. Have you guys heard anything about him and do you agree?

BOKI will prove all his haters wrong once he get playing time......i feel that BOKI himself feels alienated bcuz he never got PT this season. It never occured to the public that he was dissapointed on the bench which shows his patience and maturity after playing in the euro pro league. He always sat quietly next to RUDY during games but as long as RUDY implements some kind of quick movement in his offense, i can see him contributing next season.

    VOTE 4 BOKI!

Do you plan on needlessly bumping this thread up throughout the week like you did your Jefferson thread?

Geek (with 5000 plus posts), I'm simply stating my concerns of the Rockets as I see it. We are all fans, if you have a problem with my perspective please express it, if not, them do me a favor and don't bother replying!

    Alright, I'll play along...

Boki didn't play much because he's not as good as Rice or Posey and perhaps even TMo. The Rockets made it clear when they drafted him that he was a project that probably wouldn't see much playing time this year. There hasn't been any news on Boki as of late because there really isn't much to talk about. Speaking of replying, please stop bumping up your Jefferson thread without at least addressing the fact that we wouldn't have Yao Ming if we had drafted Richard Jefferson...

    lol....I'll play too!

Nachbar...he is good. He was supposed to be one of the most NBA ready in the draft. Guess not....well at least he had one year of valuable experiences.

We should trade him to the Kings...that's his favorite team.

Patience...in 3 years...he will be like Peja Stojakovic!

Apologies, I just noticed that a Nachbar thread has already been established:

    http://bbs.clutchcity.net/php3/showthread.php?s=&threadid=57586

Looks like we have some thinkers out there!

As for the criticism I have received for the Jefferson issue:

Firstly, I have not checked the site in quite some time so I used this chance to voice my frustration to see if there was anyone out there which had the same concern.

Also, to prove me wrong (which I was hoping most of all) that this move was the wrong one, as I mentioned before, I believe it was a move for potential hype rather than proven talent.

Lastly, the statement that we would not have had the chance to select Yao in the draft is complete BS. As you all know, management wouldn't have given Jefferson the playing time (this gets back to the Nachbar question and the small number of supporters of EG) so honestly, do you think the trade would have made a difference in getting Yao, Naa

Jefferson would have gotten playing time that season because of our lack of SFs that year. He's also more "NBA ready" than Eddie, so he definitely would have gotten more playing time. If he was as good as you think he was/is, then he definitely would have impacted our draft placement, especially since only 1-2 games was the difference between our slot and the next slot below/above us.

Boki will have the ball in hands "ALL THE TIME" this summer. They're using this summer to let him "take over." This is "his summer" He will be a 'major' part of the equation next year. The problem was his groin did heal but he was still hesitant and actually did reinjure it after the All star break.

Glen Rice? Trading deadline? Nope...the plans are to move him before summer ends...

One quote was - "There's going to be a LOT of activity for us, that's for sure!"

We'll see.....I guess! No specifics right now because there are none but Garnett has not been discussed as of yet.

They put the ball in Langhi's hands too, and EG had it in his hands all summer as well. both of them still sucked in Rudy's crappy system.

I know you said that they are looking to bring in vets, but I hope they aren't thinking of trading in Rice for another over-the-hill type player. Get something of value that'll be around a while plz.

very true DD, but I still have hope for Nachy, even in "Rudy's system".

You are assuming too much about Jefferson. He developed his game while playing at NJ. with Jason Kidd the Number One NBA Playmaker.
If he had been on the Rockets he would have been developing his game under Steve Francis, so called leader and the worst playmaker in the NBA. I feel you would not even recognise Jefferson as the same smiling player, he would have a frown on his face, he wouldn't say much and he might have tried WEED for reief. He might have been just another Eddie.

Project or not, the best players should be on the floor. Based on reports I have read Nachbar should be playing.

Doc, was this the only reason he got so little PT?

Wasn't there another reason you talked about before that you didn't quite understand/agree with?

    WHAT?!? lol.....

So are you saying that Bostjan Nachbar isn't a good player and is worse than Terence Morris and has no potential and is a bust or are you saying that Rudy's playing system is crap?
