Here come the Dallas Mavericks. Billionaire owner Mark Cuban and about a dozen Mavericks players are set to appear in an upcoming issue of the comic book Full Throttle. The upcoming issue features would-be superheroes Dirk Nowitzki, Steve Nash, Michael Finley and company with three young Dallas readers who battle the head bad guy Gargamon and his host of illiterate evildoers. The issue will go on sale March 22 at 50 North Texas Wal-Mart stores. Another 3,000 copies will be handed out at the March 22 game against the Phoenix Suns, The Dallas Morning News reported in its Saturday editions. The comic was created by Ultimate Sports Entertainment Inc. of Los Angeles. The company has published other sports star comic books, including six Texas Rangers comics in the past two years.
I have long thought a cartoon with Barkley and some other dream teamers would make a hilarious cartoon. Kinda like Fat Albert style. It would be a huge hit in my opinion.
