    We already know the Maverics/Spurs are legit teams, but with the current surge of the Grizzlies/Hornets I ask a legitimate question.

    Are we currently the worst team in our division ?

    Talent wise there is no comparison in our division. We simply can play with 100% effort every night, but still not win due to the lack of talent we possess compared to the other teams in our division.

    The
    Spurs have Duncan/Parker/Jefferson/Ginobli
    Mavericks have Dirk/Terry/Howard/Kidd/Marion
    Hornets have Paul/West
    Grizzlies have Gay/Mayo/Randolph

    While we have a nice bunch of players we simply are not as athletic as the other teams. Even with our hustle every night the other teams in our division have just more pure talent.

    Worst? LOL.

    You do realize that the Grizzlies play in our division. THE MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES.

    And for anyone that is going to cite their record, let it be known that they've had one of the easiest schedules in the league, and they have a brutal second half of the season coming up.

    The Hornets are not better than us. The Grizz are good and getting better but I'll hold off on saying they're better until late in the season.

    It's not a knee-jerk thread when the rest of the division has been outplaying us in recent weeks.

    It's more of a Knee Jerk post compiled of the past month.

    As the rest of the division has been going ^ we have been going down.

    Hard to say when everyone in the division is above .500 ... it's not like being the "worst" in the division is a real embarrassment at the moment.

    I voted yes, but forgot that the Hornets played in the division, so no. I think we're tied with Memphis.

    You should have read spurstalk after they lost to us last night, many of them were ready to fire Pops and officially call the Duncan era over.

    Our division is almost like the AFC South Division, even the bottom teams are not that bad.

    Agree, but I think people still underestimate the Grizzlies for the simple fact that they are the "Grizzlies", and as much as we might have an overall better roster than the Hornets Paul/West is still a dominant pair.

    Since we're talking recent performance, in the last 10 games, the top 3 teams of the division (Dallas, San Antonio, Houston) all have a 5-5 record.

    The bottom 2 teams (New Orleans, Memphis) are 7-3.

    Of course, you'd have to examine the quality of the competition to get a better picture.

    Last night's game throws a little kink in that theory of yours.

    I'll be the first to admit that our team is full of problems that need to be solved, but I'm not ready to be defeatist and start comparing ourselves to New Orleans and Memphis.

    But New Orleans and Memphis aren't bad teams.

    Like Clutch said, being the worst in this division doesn't mean you are a terrible team.

    We are third in the Southwest division with a record of 24-19, so no, we are not worst in our division. I found this information on NBA.com.
