well... Larry Bird once went on record and said the NBA NEEDS another white superstar. The Utah Jazz about 3-4 years ago were just as bad, if not worse.
African American athletes are the majority in the NBA, the Pacers are just firm believers in Affirmative Action
I don't see how it's racist. You think they would turn down a trade for Lebron or Kobe or Wade or Durant or...
I would not say they are racist or against black players but I do think they have a little preference for white player, sure they would take Bynum over Foster but I still see a little preference and nobody can ignore it. I think Utah is in the same situation. If you look back at previous drafts, they've drafted a lot of white players and obviously Utah/Salt Lake City is like 99,99% white.
Jarret Jack is with the raptors this season, but yes I do think op is forgetting about a few players.
Jermaine O'Neal is about as white as they come and they traded for him. Ron Artest was white when he ran into the stands for them. Stephen Jackson was white when he accompanied him into the stands. Don't forget that white point guard around that time - Jamaal Tinsley. *my sarcasm cup runneth over* And good Lord, do I see Rik Smits and Chris Mullin in your collection of white players? Chris played for the Pacers 10-12 years ago. Smits retired with them about 10 years ago. How many years are you going to go back looking for white people on the Pacers to prove they're racist?
As silly as the claim may be, how many of you went "Oh they WOULD draft Tyler Hansborough" during the draft?
Lol then look at the Celtics, who are supposed to be white people from ireland, and the only one you saw was brian scalabrine
Are the Boston Celtics a racist franchise? Oh waiiitttt they're not! Remember why they won the Champs??
