So I recently got hired by USPIRG (US Public Interest Research Group) as an environmental consultant and I was going to get paid very well to educate their field agents/canvassers about important environmental issues affecting California's coast lines. I went in today to finish my paperworks and set up my schedule, and thats where the problem came up. Appears that they want me training to work from 12-9 since many of their canvassers/field agents are students who go to school in the morning.

So there I was, ready to sign my last piece of paper before the hiring was official and I began to have mixed feelings because I was going to have to miss important games (especially this week) against the Celtics, Hornets, Suns, and Warriors. To me, that was a HUGE negative since I hate to miss games, especially when we are in such a historic run and with so many fun games coming up.

    It was a tough decision:

    19.50/hour or the Houston Rockets?

Guess choice one I choose! :D (Hint: I am currently still unemployeed and in the process of looking for a job! :D )

I can't wait until we smash the Celtics tomorrow!!!!!!

dude... at 19.50 an hour you can tivo the beginning of the game and catch up by halftime.

lol I can at least say I still have a little bit of perspective at this point.

More power to you! Good luck in the job hunt.

Thats pretty badass, when I was on Cruise I'd watch 45 min - 1 hr of CNN stuff I did not want to know, just to catch a 15 second clip of Rockets highlights... Yea we are all fanatics, whatever it will be worth it if we can bring home the championship!

I should have thought of this over the weekend and go out to get my tivo and have it set up! Damn that was stupid of me, but I was so hyped up for Sunday's game and all the bets/trash talking I had going on with family and friends. I really need to get a tivo!

MY wife has not watched one game sitting down. She either followed online or walked in to see what I was screaming about. Well she decided after we were up by 15 at halftime to watch. Her watching was the EXACT time that the lakers went on a 12-0 run. I finally yelled at her to leave and the second she did Rafer hit a 3.

I am probably gonna get divorced if they jkeep on winning.

During the Charlotte game I got up towards the end of halftime to take a leak. While I was in the facilities the Rockets made a run to catch up to the Bobcats since at the time they were having a really poor shooting night and trailing at the half. The second I came out of the john I think it was Scola that missed an easy layup. So what did I do? I spent the entire second half of the game in the bathroom (getting constant updates yelled at me from outside) just so we could pull one out!

Like Hayesfan said. Use that income to invest in a tivo or dvr or possibly that and a slingbox.

    Are you frickin' crazy?...

Take the job at once; call them back and say that you made a mistake.

Get yourself the Tivo/DVR equivalent (or learn to program a VCR).
