Are the coaches scared of talking to Tmac bout his shot selection?

    I mean seriously, when u see a guy go 9-12 in the 1st half, and then go 0-99 in the second half, why isnt it your responsibility as a staff to sit TMac down and say drive more, or do something other than shoot 1000 three's!!

    yeah when he just jacks it up from 3 ft beyond the line it really hurts our ball movement

    Really, his shot selection was very good this game, even in the 2nd half up until the last 2 bombs from 30ft out. In the 2nd half he kept getting doubled and shaded, and his only "good" shot option was the midrange J, which he was taking, just not hitting.

    I'll take 25/6/5 on 10-22 shooting, though.

    i think adelman should sit him down when tmac goes through these rough stretches where he settles to let him know he can't play like that.

    phil jackson benched kobe after he jacked up 3 straight tough Js in the cavs game earlier this yr. he often calls TOs and yells at kobe straight up.

    our coaches need to give tmac a huge smack in the head when he plays like this.

    sure it's a blowout game, but it's a bad habit.

    That's what has always bugged me about him. If his shot is off he still takes a few heat check shots from behind the line. If his shot IS falling he takes a few heat check shots from 4-5 feet behind the line.

    He is what he is.

    and also i know this is really bad reasoning, but when i see Jrich score 42 pts, and Lebron goes for 50, and then i see Tmac with 23 at half, i say to myself, its gonna be a 40 pt game for Tmac, but he is so one-dimensional now, but hey, we cant afford to lose him to an injury so maybe its for the best !

    Yeah, and I hate the way he combs his hair too! :rolleyes:

    25 pts, 6 rbs, 5 assists! Double teamed like crazy practically all night.

    jrich took 32 shots. if tmac took 10 more shots, he's bound to get hot at some point too. tmac is pretty streaky now.

    but i think he settled tonight more than anything. in the first quarter, he came out aggressive and attacked. as we got the lead, he knew it was going to be a win and settled. he's saving it for tomorrow ;)

    maybe tmac juking up 3s in the playoffs won't cut it.He needs to get to the line more then 1 time a gm seriously.

    u never worry about tmac in the playoffs. u worry about him taking it easy during the grind of an 82 game season.

    tmac shows up in the playoffs. he will win u 3 games by himself. u just hope this improved group of role players can win that 4th game when he struggles.

    they played him differently in the second half
    he took only 4 more shots halfway through the 3rd. Scola picked up 13 points because they kept doubling T-mac like that

    McGrady didn't take that many shots in the second half. The difference between the first and second half was that they were doubling him from half court. Hell, in the fourth they stopped the doubles the first minute, then Mac hit a shot.. they immediately started doubling him again.
