Are Rockets the Surprise Team of the Year?

    Another preseason preview has the Rockets winning around 35 games. http://www.sportingnews.com/nba/support/ Granted, a lot of teams have improved, but a lot of teams have fallen off or remained stagnant (Indy, Minnesota, 76ers, etc.).

    I can see the Rockets as a surprise team this year with everyone picking them so low (ESPN - 19th?). I think it bodes well for Francis and the guys. Doing better than expected can earn a lot of respect from the league, refs, and future free agents.

    I think if they finish around 500 in the 8th or 9th spot they will have done better than most of the "experts" predicted.
