Well, there is no reason to make any excuses for the poor play in the last several weeks. And Cato being out certainly does not help.

However, I am wondering whether playing heavy minutes (and those OT games) is finally tiring the starters out. Even JJ has been throwing wild passes recently that I rarely see him do. Yao is beginning to make silly mistakes, SF3 was 1-2 steps too slow in the game against Denver.

Also I am wondering whether SF3 no longer has control to the team off the court. It seems that SF3 is trusting Yao more and more and is becoming the only player who consistently passes Yao the ball (although the passes are very poor sometimes). Cat just rarely passes the ball to Yao and is happy to take shots whatever the defense gives him (see Denver game).

Well, it seems that the team is in the game most of the times down the stretch. All they need to do is climb over that hill but they are running out of gas.

That excuse could be used by every team in the league. Its almost the end of the season, everyone is tired.

    HECK YES !!!

They are tired of stupid turnovers that cost them games.

They are tired of allowing the other teams PG to penetrate at will.

They are tired of the team not playing as a team during dry spells each and every game.

They are tired of watching a semi successful season go down the drain.

They are tired of being called young.

They are tired of Steve dribbling the ball off his foot.

They are tired of Yao not bringing his "A" game each and every night.

They are tired of Yao not being more of a man and playing like a wimp at times.

They are tired of watching other teams close out the tight games while the Rockets fall apart.

But Mostly, they are tired of hearing how they suck.....

Guess they better get some rest, cause THEY DO SUCK right now !!

    :)

They were not blown away in any of these games. The worst one is GSW. Other three losses were to better teams, Minny, Lakers, and Kings. Yeah, they made tons of stupid mistakes. So did these supposely better teams. We were in each of these games till last few seconds. Sure, we would have won these game if not for the stupid mistakes we made. But we would have been blown away had opponents made no mistakes.
JVG could have played Paghett and Spoon much more minutes though.
