Not trying to call you or your kid out, but... Does anyone really expect an Eight year old to know much (if any) about politics? He is making a generalized statement about the believes of a certain group that he has no knowledge of. This reminds me of the thread that rimbaud wrote, "On Race", where kids are being influenced/fed/ingrained the idea of "prejudice". Granted, prejudice on political parties is not as bad as prejudice against Race, never the less, it starts them toward a bad trend. I am not saying that you, your family, your friends, or your kid's friends are molding your kid into a biggot, but I think you should be "alarmed" with what he said than thinking that it was funny. I don't believe in PC, but making fun of a group of people/believe that you have no knowledge of can be a dangerous thing to learn (or practice) at such an early age.
