This is why I love the internet. Apparently lead singer of Arcade Fire, Win Butler steals a basketball from a student. Student posts a blog, then the Win Butler's brother starts another blog claiming that he did not steal the ball and proceeds to slander him. Its starts with the kid who got his ball stolen first. http://arcadefirestolemybasketball.blogspot.com/ Next, Win Butler's brother Will starts another blog claiming he did not steal the ball. He starts a "internet libel war." The posts on this retaliatory blog gets funnier. Read them on the link. http://arcadefiredidntstealdudesbasketball.blogspot.com/
ya, cus plenty of people play basketball in college gyms while drunk. twenty says the guy stole it, I can't fathom why someone would start a blog over a basketball like that if it didn't happen. in other news, who the f*ck is arcade fire?
At ACL last year I saw the Napoleon Dynamite guy at a bar on 6th St. talking to some people at a bench outside. All I picked up from the conversation was him yelling, "Look, I don't want to talk about the band!" Then he got up and walked out.
I saw Arcade Fire on Saturday Night Live last night. It was the first time I had ever seen them. The accused basketball thief seems to have a lot of pent up anger, but I guess that's just his style of singing. I think he stole the ball. I liked the music.
I've attended hundreds of concerts since the late 80's (and yes, I'm one of those dorks who keeps all ticket stubs), and Arcade Fire are, by far, one of the best live acts I've ever seen.
Steve Francis stole my ball at Westside tennis club like 5 or 6 years ago. he borrowed it and never gave it back. I put a curse on him naturally, like anyone else would, and it worked.
i like the band to. at least there first cd, havent heard the new one much. but i have read and heard from quite a few people that they are great live.
