. . . .and people will still think this is better water because they paid a 1.30 for it. as oppose to the same water in their Tap.

Will this stop people from buying it?

I, for one, will stop buying it. I'm going to buy my own filter instead.

I thought that was fairly common knowledge. Most bottled water is just tap water, mostly just taken from another cities water source, just read the label and it's states it there.

Bottled water is a scam, period. It all comes from tap water and its practically dead water. You're actually better off drinking tap water, its healthier

I would drink my tap water if it didn't smell bad and taste like crap. Just saying. I don't mind tap water, but the filter I bought doesn't even do enough.

I bought one of the PUR filters for my sink and it's great. Can't tell the difference between that and bottle water. I did a taste test with the tap water and it does a great job and definitely worth the 39 bucks i paid for it.

Agreed. I live in an apartment and the water that comes out of the tap is not ok with me. No filter is going to make it better either. I buy jugs of water though, not individual bottles anymore.

For some reason I always loved the taste of an ice cold bottle of Ozarka. It tasted better than any other bottled water out there IMO.

I've never bought bottled water, except for those circumstances where I could use the bottle for a whole day and keep refilling it at a fountain (like at an amusement park or something).

I use a filtered pitcher at home. We have seriously hard water here, if you leave a glass of tap water sitting for an hour you'll see little bits at the bottom. I've been told by a friend in the Rockville, MD area that her water is really 'buttery' and really disgusting to drink. I think it really varies where you live on how good your tap water is. Our home is south Florida is fine.

Didn't say anything about Ozarka being tap water...

i thought it was commom knowledge. it may come from public sources but it is filtered and such. I have a purifyer at home and a couple of bottles of home purified if i need one while i go out.. but of course i do occasionally but a bottle running errands or something and it is aquafina. I like the big mouth :D.

p.s. drink your water like a normal person. I hate people who use those squirt tops  the sound of the bottle crunching is annoying. Plus, have we got so lazy that twisting off the top is too much work?

the only bottled water i could ever taste a difference in was Fiji water it tastes i think maybe a little sweet.

anyways i never buy bottled water really. just dumb to do so.

if your tap water taste bad use a filter on your sink and get a pitcher that also has a filter built in (that way it gets filtered twice) and after that get a few water bottles that are built for more then one use.

if you use a normal ozarka, dasani, aquafina etc bottle over and over supposedly the plastic breaks down and starts releasing carcinogens in the water. which defeats the whole purpose of trying to be healthy.

Interesting. I'm going to ask one of my friends for a second opinion on it (not that I don't believe you, but I'd like to make sure.)

Another friend of mine who's a microbiologist once mentioned he never drinks out of water fountains. I didn't bother following up on why, but I'm assuming he learned something while doing his research. Anyone know why a public water fountain could be worse than your tap at home?
