A bunch of huge games today: Suns at Mavs: Suns have to win, but I like the Mavs in this one. Jazz at Hornets: Jazz suck on the road. Enough said Spurs at Cavs: Cleveland wins at home again Bobcats at Pistons: Charlotte has to win if they want to make the Playoffs for the first time. They'll beat an imploding Pistons squad. Clippers at Lakers: The senior varsty team wins to keep pace for the best record in the NBA There a bunch of other games, but these are the ones that really intrigue me. Could be a really stellar day for the Rockets if they take care of business at home.
bobcats still have an outside shot...with them being back by 2 games from the pistons rights now...also they would lose the tie breaker due to the conference records even with the win today.....would be nice to see the bobcats make the playoffs for the first time....also would show the pistons further that they messed up huge in the billups trade....
I agree with you. I'd love to see the Pistons miss the Playoffs. I think Billups is overrated, but I've never been an AI fan. It would be nice to see that trade cause the Pistons to fall so stunningly. Pistons have a Magic Number of 4 to close the Bobcats out. They still have Bobcats, @Knicks, Nets, @Pacers, Bulls, @Heat. Bobcats have a Magic Number of 9 to close the Pistons out. They still have @Pistons, 76ers, @Thieves, @Bulls, @Nets, @Magic. It's going to be tough for the Bobcats to close the Pistons out. They can make up a game today, but they've got to win on the road against a group that includes a few very dangerous opponents. Detroit has the easier schedule, but with the way they've been playing, I could see them dropping 4-5 of their last 6. The Pistons could very well miss the Playoffs. They are playing terribly. If the Bobcats win today and win most of their few remaining games, they could take that last spot by the skin of their teeth. That double OT loss to the Celtics might be the game that costs them.

the most important game on Sunday april 5 is the only one not listed! a Rockets win paired with a Spurs loss can give us the 4th seed back, a half game out of 3rd. that's what we all want, right? today's game is the biggest of the season. we need to solidify our offense against a team that we are more than likely going to be ,matched up against tin the First round. we have to win with Utah and NO beating up on each other. I do like the Charlotte/Detroit and Phoenix/Dallas situations today. Charlotte (2 back) and Phoenix (3 back) can keep themselves alive by beating the team right in front of them... I'm sure Kobe really wants to tell Shaq how his ass tastes. Go Bobcats!
Holy cow, LeBron James is dialied in into this Spurs game. And I like how he's not taking bad shots. He's in total attack mode.
I usually only talk non-Rockets games here, since that game is thoroughly covered in GARM. But I agree with you. All of these other games are just appetizers for the main event in Houston tonight.
They should make LeBron play with cannonballs chained to his ankles. That might make this a little more fair.
Oh man, Spurs are done. Manu doesn't even look like he is 70% and Duncan's knees have given up on him. He barely runs.
I think it was one of the concessions Stern made with the Players Union when they put in the dress code a few years back. If the players have to wear suits, at least 1 head coach per game gets to wear a tie. When Mike Brown showed up without one (home coach gets the call), an usher gave Pop a tie to wear.
