Both teams gave everything they had but in the end, the better team won, but Chicago definitely has a bright future with Derrick Rose manning the point. Once again, WHAT A SERIES
the celtics didnt have as much of an advantage as people think. they were without their best player and one of their best backups. id have them as underdog if it werent for the home court. i wasnt surprised when they lost game one. the bulls are a solid team. the celtics just had the better best players. Allen, Rondo and Pierce stepped up when they had to. the bulls had better role players... cmon... scalabrine????
not the mention all the story-lines behind this series: -Whether or not KG would play -Derrick Rose's 36 point debut -Ray Allen's 1-12 in Game1 and game-winning 3 in Game2 -Rondo's flagrant(?) in Game5 and Game6 -Brad Miller missing his free throws only to bounce back and hit all of them in crunch time Game6 along with 5 points in the closing minute -Ray Allen and Eddie House's 22.9ft. 2 pointers in Game6 -Noah's steal and dunk Game6 ...the list goes on and on
This series and the rockets-blazers series (passed the 1st round finally) make this playoffs so special!
I think that Bulls would be just as good without Gordon. Let him walk. Pg- Rose Sg- Salmons Sf- Deng Pf- Thomas C- Noah/Miller (either could start)
As entertaining as the series is, I think there is as much no one wants to win as no one wants to lose. At the end, the more experienced team wins.
the kings-lakers 02 series is still the best series of the last decade. i think this was a great series but NOT the best one. another great series that come to mind are 07 mavs-warriors. the reason why the kings-lakers series is so great was the magnitude - whoever won WAS going to win the championship. you had two GREAT teams at full strength and the fact that the lakers were the 'villian'.
