not bad, kinda funny they went the "Zune" way with the portrait screen. Depending on price, I may get one, with rumors of it being $150 for a 8 gig, there is a rumor of a new Ipod Touch with GPS capabilities. Wonder which other ipods are getting facelifts.

Seems like a bit of a step backwards for them. Looks bulkier than the 3rd gen. Better have some really nice new features, otherwise what's the point?

Unless you are going to get an iPhone or an iPod Touch don't bother with an iPod.

There are many other makes and models that are a lot better.

The thing that separates the iPhone and Touch is that it has features that are unique, so it's worth getting.

It's really useful for college students who have an ever present Wi-Fi network while on campus. That's why I would personally get it.

I don't understand what you are saying. I have an ATT Tilt with GPS and I use it in my car as a GPS Navigator.

So putting a GPS chip in the Touch would allow people to put any major navigation system on their Touch. TomTom, Garmin, iGo, and all the other major companies have a mobile-version of their product and a lot of people do use it. So I guess that would be the only upside to placing a GPS in it.

u see how you have to tilt the ZUNE to the left to view videos?

last i checked, you didn't have to do that with nanos...

so yes, the 4th gen has to be in LANDSCAPE view in order to view videos unlikes ANY of the previous nanos

btw, if you want to get technical, Microsoft wasn't the first MP3 player to do that, I think Sansa had some released before hand that did the same thing

Well, people dig the iPod line mostly for its brand name and design methinks.

Though having said that, that new facelift looks like total dog poo. What were they thinking with the convex curved surface? Looks like something out of a Jetsons cartoon.

    Zune> any other MP3 player.

Apple just likes to rip people off.

3 weeks ago I held off on an impulse buy for a Nano. Good thing I did...the 149 dollar model has doubled in sized and is slimmer.

Though I see that the Touch will have Nike+ support, so I think that seals it. I shall get the Touch and run.
