So ....Considering how things have been handled in the past ( EX. leaving KJ out there all year without getting a competent CB, backing up Kubes with Wade for the HC position for years, and not paying for a legit pass rusher last year ), how much faith do you all have in the Texans attempting to fill the massive gaps without Mario and AJ? (even though it's supposedly for a short stretch with Andre) There can be no sitting on hands or half measures. Our margin of error is gone, gone, gone.
Our guys have to not only overcome the injuries in the short and longterm, but also the coaching.
The moves in the offseason to tighten up the secondary were nice ...I'm just not sure what to expect from this regime.

Who (multiple players) do we go get to strengthen this team?

What do you call it when the assassins accuse the assassins?
    Changes hmm..
have the second cornerback only give up nine yards of cushion instead of 10.
All the moves that are going to be made are going to be in house moves. Barwin taking the role of Mario maybe?

We'll be ok to make a run in the playoffs.

So the bar is now set to find AJ and Mario replacements? Seems fair - clock is ticking, Rick Smith!!!!

Yeah, we HAVE to find a replacement for AJ before Sunday! If we don't, we might lose to Baltimore and the season will be over (if it's not already after losing to the Raiders).

    With mild success comes lunacy.

I agree that Barwin is a stud and nice Brando ref. but we need much more IMO. Without Mario and lacking major moves we can kiss the playoffs goodbye unless it's winning our piss poor division. And after that a quick exit...

No, we should have made a move last week for another 1. Sure it takes time to get a guy integrated.. But even if Andre makes it back in 3-4 weeks we're stronger in the meantime (while the schedule is most intense) and much stronger when it comes time to make hay with Dre back.

And what rock has been hiding this readily available AJ replacement?

Not only that, but in the 3 to 4 weeks Andre is out, a "stud number one" won't even be very acclimated to our offense.

And Brooks Reed. Antonio Smith. JJ Watt. Everyone and their momma has to step up their game.

What we need to do is draft a WR and DE. Basically, new needs arise every season.

Oh and if RG III declares for the draft, ******* draft him.

Look, while JJ has looked better, it's pretty obvious he's got a lot to learn. Kevin is a scrapper with a quick motor who is great on the underneath route or slants. Our brass has known this ....The gap between a legit 1 and these guys is huge. It doesn't have to be the next best receiver in the League, but a true 1 .......There are 31 other teams out there....and some are headed nowhere....toss in money issues, guys in bad situations, etc.
What it comes down to is a willingness to pay up and/or give up enough.

A converted QB so seeing some trick plays would be fun. A value pick for sure in the second or third.

Justin Blackmon would be a splash in the first round though.

All accounts are saying that AJ will be back for the titans game. Which leaves us with exactly 1 more game without him. A game we would probably lose WITH him.

It's not just about "replacing" Andre. With Mario out for the year we're going to have to nut up across the board....offense and defense.
