Although I think he'll help, I don't think he's the ONE that will bring us a championship. But hey, doesn't even matter. Word is he's going to go back to Detriot.

Morey answered this on the radio a couple of days ago. To even consider adding Deke, McDyess, (another name he said), or any other player the Rockets need to make a move/trade to free up salary space first.

Won't happen. You want to add a guy who played significant minutes on a playoff team last year to play behind scola and landry...unless you are seriously considering putting him in the 5 which would be a biiiig strech.

He's not a true center, so it would probably be a waste for us. The only reason would be because Deke wouldn't come back, and we already have undersized PFs trying to backup Yao.

He brings nothing new to the team. A 6'9" PF who spots up for 15ft jumpers. We have 2 PF's of the same size who can do that and both are younger and more athletic.

McDyess is still a better finisher and defender than Scola/Landry.

It still surprises me how little posters know about other players. To say Mcdyess isn't as atheletic or better finisher than our 4's now is a joke. He may not be the dunker he used to be, but he's a better defender than scola and landry and a better scorer also. Now as a team if u don't want to add him if he's bought out eventhough he would cost u minimum, that's cool, but to say other false things because you're in fandom is another.

Point is he's not bringing anything new to the table. Primary need in the frontcourt now is someone who could block/alter shots and grab rebounds with the trees. Dice is no longer the superior athlete he was to do that.

Also he is not better than Scola. Right now he's at best as good as Landry. It doesn't make sense to fill our last spot for a guy who isn't bringing anything new.

Don't think we can afford him honestly. Word is that Denver will waive him and he might return to Detroit. His salary will be 4-5 times that of Deke.
