ive been looking for a stay at home job for someone, and all i can find online seem to be get rich quick scams. im looking for something for a stay at home mom, doesnt need to be lucrative, just something stable and part time you can do at home, eg. typing, reservations, etc?

Nope. Aside from major corporations that have people that work from home, the rest are scams. My brother in law works from home for IBM, I have a friend that works for Fed Ex from home. Go figure.

Actually, I work from home every day. If it involves technology, you can easily work from home...or from anywhere for that matter.

Office space is sometimes an eventual reality, but I have space right behind my house for that as well. Makes for a nice work environment.

Short of working it out with your current employer to work from home the only things that I can think would entail you starting your own business. Realestate or some kind of professional service.

I knew a guy in college who made a pretty good living as a transcriber. He got audio tapes sent to him, put on his headphones and started typing.

He was doing medical transcription, so that might be why he got paid so well -- kind of a special skill to be able to understand (and spell) a doctor's verbal notes.

i have an aunt that is a medical transcriptionist and works at home. She isn't getting rich, but she gets paid decently for what she does. She types out recordings of doctors that are sent over the internet and gets paid for every line that she types. She has been doing it for a long time now. Probably 7-10 years by now.

Marketing. I know people who sell computer chips and cell phones and they work from home, it's lucrative if you know the right people.

I know someone that makes a decent living doing taxes from out of her home. The only caveat to that is you would have to build up a client base (and get the necessary education) before you would be completely operating from out of the house.

I know a girl who lives in Dallas who does some work for Hilton from home. Not exactly sure what it is though. I know it is some kind of data entry involving invoices. I think she enters the invoices from a scanned image into a database or something.

I too was looking for a 'work from home' job that I could do part-time. I am sure that crap exists somewhere.
