on ESPN last night... I looked for a thread, but didn't see one, so if I missed it, please lock this thread... I thought it was freakin' awesome...kinda Any given Sunday but more in depth... DH is the man...He's got to work on rule #1...the drugs... Any thougths...
I enjoyed it, but only because I'm starved for any sports entertainment vehicle on television. But quality wise, it was lacking. Too many cliches. We had the Bill Romanowski guy The Emmitt Smith/Priest Holmes combo situation (with Larry Johnson/Troy Hambrick) The Michael Irvin situation It didn't reach my admittedly lofty expecatations. But seeing how much I love sports, I will watch it every week.
I agree with drapg about the characters being very stereo-typical of what you would guess but I saw differnet people: MLB - I saw Chris Spielman. Nice guy but all screwed up in the head. Spielman use to think of the offensive players raping his wife to fire himself up. RBs- I saw Bo Jackson/Marcus Allen and Dorsett/Hershel Walker. Biggest difference was Bo and Hershel were not the douche bag as the other RB. Coach- Very typical of alot of coaches who do what they are told. Owner- Although I love my Cowboys I saw JJ all over that guy. Could have been Al Davis or Dan Snyder as well. Anyways not a great show, but I'll admit I find shows like this entertaining. I don't liek to think much after 6pm so it's perfect for me!
